So sorry for your losses triggles
Mine were from 5wk to stillborn so i don't think i'll ever be enjoy pregnancy, although that's what i long for so much. I'm even more nervous now, my numbers have almost quadrupled, they're now about 7X higher than a normal pregnancy. I'm so scared as to why this is happening, i don't understand why it can't just be textbook and "normal", i just want a healthy bean..

I have just found this thread and am I glad I did. I was beginning to think I was the only one with these problems. All my friends just need to look at one another and they get pregnant
I've been going to the hospital for nearly 2 years now. I have been poked and prodded. I have had the HSG. It's just uncomfortable. You just want to touch your belly and make it better but you can't. It's not the nicest of things to have done and won't be offering to do that again in a hurry.
Anyway, I have had no AF since coming off the pill 3 years ago. I have blood tests 3 months out of 4. I am on 3 tablets of FSH and they have not worked. They then told me I had PCOS.
I have had my ovaries drilled. You feel like you have done 300 sit ups the day after but the scars are now beginning to heal up but Af is still missing.
My BMI is 21 and has been since I started having tests so doesn't matter what weight you are, these things don't differentiate.
I have now been on 3 tablets a day of metformin since october and they are horrible tablets. They make you lose your appetite so losing weight, feel and be sick, have diarrohea but hey we think of the goal. It'll be worth it eventually especially when I'm a size 4 :rotfl:
I have just been back to the hospital and they have told me there is nothing else they can do so have referred me on presumably for IVF. Can anyone advise on what happens next?
Thanks0 -
Nothing to reprt here, just wanted to say welcome to the newbies & best of luck!:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0

myaccount - I know how you feel, we've just started becoming cautiously optimistic about this one as we finally heard the heartbeat yesterday on home doppler - which is a huge milestone for us. The thing about betas is that they can vary soooo much for every pregnancy - I refused to do them this time as I didn't want to stress over them. Still keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
pa - sorry, I don't know what happens next for you. It sounds like you have really been through the ringer. Hope things start looking up for you soon. I'm sure others on here can give you an idea what other things can or will be done. This is a pretty knowledgeable group here. Best of luck.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
Just popping into say hi to new peeps and see how myaccount is doing. I hope everything will be ok for you.
Sarahs999 - I just wanted to let you know that I know someone with a blood disorder who was told carrying a child to term almost never happens for women with her condition. She managed it though.

Thanks for the support. I know there is hope somewhere, it just feels a bit dark at the moment. I'm ovulating in the next couple of days and I just can't think about trying... the thought of another miscarriage is too much.0 -

Myaccount, could it it be multiple pregnancy giving extra high numbers? I really don't know how these things work, so just guessing.
And my news today are that we got the first appointment with GP - it is on January 21st. It is also my OH's 35th birthday that day... I don't know what to expect, as I haven't even met our GP yet!!!!! The last time I made an appointment I as just seen by nurse and dismissed as no need to see doctor. Will see how it works this time, as it will be both I and OH going to the appointment. I am scared, relieved, hopeful - all in one about this.
Have a nice weekend everyone!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Sarah - I know exactly how you feel. We've had losses right through the course of pregnancy and it's left me so depressed and anxious. On the one hand you're desperate to have a healthy baby, but on the other the fear of another loss is so strong. My Drs are giving me no special care because my late losses had "reasons" and they wouldn't investigate my early losses
I've had low progesterone in the past, and if i were in the US right now i would be on prog pessaries. Could you discuss the meds with another Dr? Do studies indicate that aspirin is enough for this particular disorder? If you have evidence to the contrary then take that to them and demand proper treatment.
Ginvzt - i have already had a multiple pg so the first blood put that as a possibility, but these numbers now are way too high even for that. At this rate, by 5 weeks they'll be 10x higher than the maxium number for a healthy multiple pg. I have read that some women just have really high levels, but generally it indicates molar pg. They wouldn't be able to tell until 6.5wks, so i'm going to be in a panic until i can get a private scan. *praying so hard for one healthy bean*. The worry of infertility never ends with a positive test that's for sure!
I hope your Drs appointment goes well. I bet with the 2 of you there they will definitely get things going0 -

Thanks. Sorry for the worry you're finding yourself intoo, have you heard anything? Really hope it turns out ok. It's said many times, but there's so much info and technology available to us these days that sometimes I wish it was in my mothers day, where youjust kept trying until it worked and that was that.... no scary numbers or conditions or problems to think about
The information on the web is mixed. Certainly aspirin is used and is successful in many cases, but in the states heparin seems to be standard. I think what my consultant is saying is that there has yet to be a conclusive trial that proves the effectiveness of heparin, but god, even if it's anecdotal evidence I'll take it!0 -
I hope it work out for you both, Sarah and myaccount.
Myaccount - are your levels just going to be monitored for now? What's the next step?0
