Very sorry to hear your news Fairy Elephant. I've been there too, including having to tell others the sad news and I know how painful it is.

    Oh FE,I'm so,so, sorry,life really can be a b*tch.......

I was so pleased that one of us had got that elusive BFP.

As me, you and lilo and were the original "old timers" on this thread it seems ironic that we've all had such a terrible start to 2009 (although, yours and lilo's news, puts mine into perspective).

Take care of yourself, and please don't give up the hope that one day your dreams will come true .

    Love and warm thoughts

I'm very sad to hear your news, FE. Hope you and DH are ok.

Hope it goes well at the clinic myaccount.

DH did the other FertilityScore test this morning, and it was on the positive side, but at the bottom of it. Having heard all sorts of stories about how you can't really believe the results I'm a bit non-plussed with it.

Very interested to hear about the insteadcup - might have to give that a go! Do you know where they are cheapest?

    Hello everyone.

Fairy Elephant so sorry to hear your news.

Have been lurking around for a while now and have now got a bit of a query.

Will condense my story. Have a boy aged 5. Took me 18 months to conceive him. Have been trying for a second since he was born. I have PCOS and have very infrequent periods. Have had around 8 cycles of Clomid (6 of which at 150mg) with Metformin. I had scans each time and they showed I never ovulated with any of the cycles.

So before consultant will move me on to injection etc he has arranged for me to have a Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) x-ray which I am having next week.

Have any of you had one of these. What is it like? I have read the leaflets etc but just wanted some personal opinions

    Thanks
Give me the boy until he's seven and i'll give you the man.

FE, I'm so sorry to hear your news. Take this time to get to grips with it. Look after each other.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

I've done some more research on the Instead Softcup - I've bought a box via the link myaccount gave. (Thanks for that!)

There's quite a bit of anecdotal evidence for it helping with BFPs...

I'm going to get some preseed too. If I'm doing this, I might as well do it properly! :rotfl:

I think thats what I had last year the name certainly rings a bell. I tried to put it off due to it not sounding very nice and the risk of infection, but I decided down the line that it needed to be done so I knew where I stood. Fortunatley for me the Xray showed everything was perfect "text book example" doc said. What exactly did you want to know?
