FairyElephant wrote: »Dizzi - I echo totally what JoJo said! I suggest that either get a monitor or some cheapie OPK sticks (not sure I am allowed to put it on here, but I get stuff from Access Diagnostics online and they are pretty good!) and work out your cycle for a couple of months with ref. to your OV date.
My cycle is usually 31 days and I OV on day 17 or 18.
I know from a couple of ladies at my clinic, that sometimes the luteal phase is too short, and this can be a problem if it's much less that 14 days, but can usually be sorted out with meds.
Good luck!
Well, I am 6 weeks today! 3 days to go to the 1st scan! Still got lots of aches & pains - trying to convince myself that this is a good sign LOL! Boobies a bit sore, and DH is convinced that the aerolae (or however you spell it!) are darker, but I'm not sure.... he also thinks I look different and have a kind of 'glow'!!! But I think he's imagining it, because he knows! I look in the mirror and think I'm pale as a ghost, as I've had to stay indoors to avoid the hayfever symptoms as much as poss as I can't take my antihystamines (still it was sweet of him to say it - bless!). Everything still feels very 'unreal' TBH - part of me is convinced that I'll get there on Thursday morning and they won't be able to find anything. I am actually wishing for morning sickness to start so that I feel I've got a definite symptom - I must really be going mad!
Hope you all had a good weekend.

Hi FE, Good luck for Thursday, I know how you feel,I don't think that we slept for 3 days before our first scan !!!
I've got my 12w scan on Thursday morning - hopefully I'll be able to relax and enjoy things a little bit more then.
Mind you, I'm still a paranoid "knicker checker" who darn't buy anything in case I'm tempting fate -My clothes are starting to get a little tight ( I resemble a walking pair of comedy boobies at the mo').
Anyway take care & bring on the morning sickness.lol

Ok, hello everyone - haven't had time to read all the posts in detail, but tried to follow what is going on in my summary emails whilst on holiday. The holiday was good, although, traditionally I managed to get ill in the first few days - still coughing!!! But, decided to try out the horse riding (first time on the horse - loved it!) and had a fantastic Balinese massage on the last day. But, the ocean was fantasitc, some sunshine and not too hot (surprisingly, as we were so close to equator!)
Whilst we did some bd, we had to be careful, as I am due for laparoscopy in 10 days...
FE - I am so sorry to hear about the job. But, I am sure you will not give up without fight!!!! Best of luck for that! And - only 3 days till the scan - how good is that!!!!! You are having a scan on NHS the following day as well, aren't you? Hope all goes well.
How is everyone else doing?Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Good luck from me on the scan FE - the aches and pain are a good thing, as the uterus is starting to stretch to accommodate foetus.
I did the race for life yesterday - I came last at 1 hr 22 minutes, but I finished it so I am really pleased. I should have stopped half way as I was really suffering, but I carried on. I then went home and slept for the rest of the day! Am still really wacked and have really swollen legs from the lymphodaema but a small price to pay and it should go down in a couple of days. The three of us raised £650 so we did well.
Hope everyone had a good weekend - LiloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110 -
Well done lilo0

Ooh Lilo, well done! I'm sure lots of us would have sponsored you, but I'll bet that isn't allowed on here!
FE - not long to go now... how exciting, x
Ginvzt, glad to read you enjoyed your holiday - so you've got just over a week to go until your next big day and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you also, x
I'm still so cramped up and feeling sickly, now on CD3 and don't normally suffer this much! Oh well, starting to improve and we'll soon be ready to try all over again...0 -

I also love to hear from the successful 'fence hoppers' from this thread - I don't dare to wonder in pregnancy thread to find about you all, so why you don't just stick around here and we could sort of convert this thread to 'ttc 12+ months and our success stories', as I find those success stories truly inspirational, and they give me and keep up my hope that one day I might be able to share my happiness with all of you...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

I've read every post on here since I got my BFP 6 months ago, as I still think about you all too!I can't imagine stopping reading this thread even after bubs arrives as I'm so invested in everyone else's journey. I hardly ever post in here any more though, even though I am lurking daily, unless its a specific question about a procedure I've been through, or a silent thanks for someone going through a particularly hard time, as I was worried about inadvertently upsetting people or being insensitive. Also as the pregnancy progressed, lots of new people joined the thread and to them I would just be a random pregnant lady butting in on something they could know nothing about, rather than a veteran poster who got lots of support on here and ended up breaking through to the other side.
I will come back and let you know when the baby arrives though. I think it might be the first ttc12 baby to be born - but the first of many I hope!0 -
'Morning all!
Nicki, Good to hear from you! I feel a bit the same - I am still posting here until I get my scan done and (everything crossed!) can really believe there is a baby in here, and in the right place etc.! I'm still going to keep reading though - I want to be able to cheer everyone on when they get their BFP's, and maybe answer any queries I can help with, but I am wary about posting too much about the PG when/if it progresses, as I don't want to upset.
I've looked at the PG thread, but it is scary! Everyone seems to be quite a way along, and the thread moves really fast!
Well done Lilo! You should feel vert proud of yourself for completing it, and raising such a lot of money too.
Ginvzt - glad you had a good holiday. I don't know what will happen on Friday except that I get to meet some midwives and they 'have the power' to send me for an early scan if they think it is necessary (don't expect it will be that day though - I'm just hoping for something between the 6+3 and 12 weeks, which seems a heck of a long time to me!!!!). I also have loads of questions which the GP doesn't have time for, and I don't know how much more care I get from the fertility clinic once they have done the scan - I suppose I am guessing that they send me off to the NHS after that, having 'done their bit' and got me PG as it were! The only time I got this far before and it was ectopic, I was transferred to the NHS straight away and that was it.
Nottslass - I'm Ok on the clothes at the moment, as even though I am bloated like a whale, my weight fluctuates so madly normally that I still fit into my 'fat clothes'! If all is OK on Thurs then DH will have to go into the loft and get down the suitcase when I 'hid' the few maternity clothes I bought 1st time around (a couple pairs of stretchy trousers and few tops I got in a sale) - resisting until then in case it is some kind of jinx! I sppose if I were that worried I'd have got rid of them - but my 'MS brain' over-ruled my 'superstitious brain' on that one - LOL!
MadMac - I understand where you are re the meds - had the same problem with the Ex....just when it was finally 'the right time' to start TTC, he was put on anti-psychotic (sorry can't spell atm!) drugs and we couldn't - so frustrating!
I'm off for now - prob out of internet access for a couple of days, but will find a way to get back in on Thurs and let you know how it went.......
