Hi All,
My IT mate says the page getting W I D E was something to do with the format of the artwork in toniq's post - now we are on a new page it should be OK!
Hope all well.
I'm about to embark on my fight with the company as I think I have been unfairly selected for redundnacy! Could do without the stress at the moment, but could also do without the stress of trying to find another job (how likely is that in my condition?!?). Whilst I would LOVE to be a SAHM, I want it on MY terms, and certainly don't want it for a few months! At this rate the bubs will be sleeping in a drawer!!!!!!!
Still a week to go until scan #1 - having mild panic attacks over that, but trying not to worry too much.
Have a good weekend everyone,

But FE, are you sure? What are the redundacny terms? It sounds like marvellous timing if you want to be a SAHM. Is the redundancy more than you would get paid on maternity leave? If so, grab it!0

Still a 'wide' load thread here for me.
I'm just hanging about still waiting for my immune test results, it will be 6 weeks on Monday so will be ringing them to see where they have got to.
Have had an evil cough for longer than I have been waiting for my results, and in the course of it I have burst blood vessels in my eyes, strained my back and stomach and now I have pulled all the muscles in my chest wall so doing anything at all is pretty much agony.
Feeling Very miserable today, sorry to bring everyone down.2 angels in heaven :A0 -

Sadly not - I've only been here 3 years, so I'll get 3 weeks pay - WOW! Pretty sure I will have to go - but the longer I can hold out by disputing it, the longer I am getting paid!!!
Took advice from ACAS today and they reckon there are 2 or 3 poss. reasons why I may have a case - depending on the responses I get to my latest questions, so it's another waiting game I'm afraid.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Went for my scan today (probably the last step the NHS will take with us until I manage to shave a large chunk off my BMI).
Normal, 100% normal, but apparently I'm about to ovulate as there was a ripe follicle there. This was day 9 of my cycle so it could mean that I ovulate incredibly early compared to the norm and that we're missing a lot of the window of opportunity compared to the day 14 idea. So now we've eliminated oh's sperm (at one point he happily announced that before he started his degree they'd had to sign a disclaimer that the mildly radioactive stuff they let them play with in the lab might make them sterile and they wouldn't sue - I nearly throttled him when he threw that one in as a side note), my hormones and my plumbing.
I would say time to start praying - but I've laid awake at night trying to cut deals and beg to whatever's out there in the past.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Well done dizziblonde, sounds like great news to me. Ovulating earlier just says to me more time for it to stick! I'm sad like that...
I have also been praying to any god that will listen to make this my month as we know OH's meds will interfere in that department for a while now, but they didn't listen as I am today back on CD1. It never gets any easier to take, x0 -
out of curiosity has any one had ovulation symptoms i.e cramps and diff cm but negative opk's?? how reliable are opk's?0
-
I've never had trouble with OPKs myself - when they say a positive, I get BDing and then I'm just looking for my temp rise to follow for my peace of mind.
I can occasionally feel a pain one side or other and know the egg is being released, but my CM usually does come with the positive test and pretty much to form.0 -
Hi All,
Not written anything on this thread for a while but have been keeping up with reading it. No news from me, 5th round of Clomid, eating like the 'hungry caterpillar' but that has been the same every month so far. Am going to have to go on a diet soon but each month you hope the tablets have worked so don't want to cut down on food just in case!
Snoopygirl, I just wanted to say how nice your post was, offering advice to Fairyelephant. I wish I'd had the benefit of your expertise when I had to leave my job because I was physically attacked by my boss - long story..three years later and I'm still upset about it all. I hope that you join in the group and that we can help you if you need it.
Dizzieblond, I was told that it is a misconception that we all ov on day 14. The only thing that is a constant, pretty much, is the luteal phase (post ov phase) which is roughly 14 days. Therefore, if your cycle is 31 days then you would ov on day 17 (31 minus 14 = 17). I bought the clearblue ov monitor a few months ago and I have a 31 day cycle. The monitor shows peak fertility at either days 16, 17, or 18 so in my experience this info is correct. We spent 3 years thinking day 14 was about the right day and no luck with the bfp, no surprise. Hope this might be of help!
Sending you all lots of babydust as it's only the bfps on this page that keep me sane!:rotfl:0 -
Dizzi - I echo totally what JoJo said! I suggest that either get a monitor or some cheapie OPK sticks (not sure I am allowed to put it on here, but I get stuff from Access Diagnostics online and they are pretty good!) and work out your cycle for a couple of months with ref. to your OV date.
My cycle is usually 31 days and I OV on day 17 or 18.
I know from a couple of ladies at my clinic, that sometimes the luteal phase is too short, and this can be a problem if it's much less that 14 days, but can usually be sorted out with meds.
Good luck!
Well, I am 6 weeks today! 3 days to go to the 1st scan! Still got lots of aches & pains - trying to convince myself that this is a good sign LOL! Boobies a bit sore, and DH is convinced that the aerolae (or however you spell it!) are darker, but I'm not sure.... he also thinks I look different and have a kind of 'glow'!!! But I think he's imagining it, because he knows! I look in the mirror and think I'm pale as a ghost, as I've had to stay indoors to avoid the hayfever symptoms as much as poss as I can't take my antihystamines (still it was sweet of him to say it - bless!). Everything still feels very 'unreal' TBH - part of me is convinced that I'll get there on Thursday morning and they won't be able to find anything. I am actually wishing for morning sickness to start so that I feel I've got a definite symptom - I must really be going mad!
Hope you all had a good weekend.
