Well the latest...
Contrary to what the embryologist had said on the phone, four embryos had actually fertilised! However, one had "missed" the PN measurement slot apparently (whatever that means). So normally a good embi would be a 2PN, an abnormal one a 3PN but this one was a 0PN. So, they weren't keen to use it.
So I had three good embis, but disappointingly, they would only transfer two - even though I am over 40 and won't freeze less than two something I wasn't aware of until today - so the third one is being disposed of.
I was a bit upset about this, but I have two strong embis that have gone in (we saw the embis that went in and they look like perfect four cell embis, so fingers crossed.) All went like clockwork and I am home now, waiting for nature to take its course and the dreaded 2ww that I have heard so much about from everyone on here starts....
Sorry FE that you have been poorly, hope you are feeling better now.
Thanks everyone including FE, ginvzt and lilo for your continued support! It so appreciated.
Baby dust to all!! xxThanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Hi Angela.
Best of luck for the next couple of weeks!
shelly:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Good Luck Angela,
Just keep thinking positive! 2 embryos is 2 more than us non ivf'ers have! Keeping everything crossed for you.0 -
Havent been on for a few days, glad the jabs are going well FE, and hope you are having a great weekend with your BF and family.
Bunny1982, as with the others, try and wait if can, but I have my fingers and toes crossed for you being successful.
Angela, superb that you have 2 good embabies - take good care of yourself and your precious cargo over the next 2 weeks. I have the rest of my fingers and toes crossed for you, and am going to get precious little done over the next few weeks without the use of my hands and feet!!!
To everyone else, have a good weekend. LiloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110 -
Angela, how exciting! That is great news. I will keep hoping for you, x
Any news Bunnie? Really want it to be some good news! If you still haven't tested and no AF as yet, you are more patient than I am...0 -
Angela - 2 embies on board - that is great news! You rest & take it easy now you are PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise!)
.
Bunnie - well done on your patience - I am terrible about waiting to test and always end up testing early! Fingers crossed...
Ginvzt - glad things are sorted now for your appt - silly rules they seem to have, sounds like someone needs to explain a few things to them.
Hi Lilo - I'm still 'hanging on in there'!
Now the chest-infection is starting to go (still coughing but not hurting as much) the hayfever has kicked in! Honestly, as my dear old grandmother used to say, if I were a horse they'd shoot me! I got some anti-hystamines which the pharmicist says are OK to take when PG, so they should be OK when doing IVF, but they don't work as well as the cheapy ones I usually take! All that lovely weather yesterday, and I stayed indoors apart from quick forays to & fro the washing line...gggrrrrrr!
Still worrying that my chest won't be clear enough for anaesthetic - one more day of antibiotics to go and I'm still wheezing, but guess I'll just have to use the darned inhaler more. Also going to be a bit embarrassed on Friday when I have my scan unless I can get this dratted thrush to clear up:mad: - guess the nurses must be used to seeing everything, but still..... I even took one of those really expensive one-off tablets, but it doesn't seem to have helped much.
Ah well, best get some work done... really trying not to imagine that this time next year I may not be here, but it's so hard not to day-dream.......The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"
..."Mind yer a*se on the step!"
TTC with FI - RIP my 2 MC Angels - 3rd full ICSI starts May/June 2009 - BFP!!! Please let it be 'third time lucky'..... EDD 7th March 2010.0 -
ANGELA - I've got it all crossed for you x
FE - I'm waiting for your next "instalment"
Good luck to the both of you XXX0 -
Fe, you are in a right old state, and my Grandmother used to say the same thing!!
At least the IVF bits are going well, I hope the chest clears. Is Friday your first scan? I hope you get plenty of follies!
Bunnie1982 Where are you???? We need to know, and I am having trouble walking with all these crossed bits! Hope all is well. XX

Just a quick grumble and update from me. I'm back at work after a week off - a week that was actually a holiday week, so already booked. I haven't actually lost the baby yet - clearly my body is playing silly !!!!!!s again, so I've got to go in and have a d&c on Thursday. When I had the other two miscarriages people at work were really nice, but this time my boss has just been like, 'oh, ok. That's a bit of a pain as I'm going on holiday on Thursday'. !!!!!!???! Does he think I planned this and am doing it to be awkward??! Not a mmurmur of commiseration. I don't know if he's told anyone else (I would have expected him to have told the other colleague on our desk) but he's said nothing to me. I just feel like I'm now the girl who has inconvenient miscarriages that screw up other people's holidays. What a bunch of selfish bstards!0
