Me and DH have (kind of) fallen off the TTC wagon at the moment. After all the blows of finding out our fertility issues and with work stresses we have made the decision to relocate. So as of 26th June we will be moving away to a new house and new jobs.
Thing is, with all the excitement of moving it has had wonderous results to our sex drive.
With relocating, would we need to get a brand new referral to the new hospital (and end up going through the tests again) or can we just transfer all our details across and continue where we left off?0 -
Sorry, I have never done that Bunnie1982 so I dont have any knowledge. I would ring the consultants secretary and ask their advice if it was me. If you ring the hospital where the appt took place and ask for the secretary they should put you through. It would be very unfair if you are already in the system to have to be re-referred.
Hope the move goes well and you and DH are very happy in your new lives XX

Toniq, so sorry, your post could well have been something i've typed over the years of 'failures'
Just remember its the treatment that hasn't done its job, not you.
Here if you wanna talk

Hello All
Only just caught up with the posts as been so busy back at work after our holiday.
Big belated hugs to Toniq, AnnieM and Sarah. I don't have any good advice other than to look after yourselves and give yourselves time.
Very belated congratulations to Nottslass who was the first person to welcome me onto this board.
Funny how you never think ttc will be such a rollercoaster. Have just been given another 3 months clomid and told that we will be looking at ivf if I'm not pg by August. Doesn't seem very hopeful as we've now been trying for over 3 1/2 years. Reading with slight panic about all the 'stabbing' involved!0 -
Yes so sorry to hear the news Toniq, AnnieM and Sarah. Life really isn't fair at times.
Toniq, if you continue to receive inappropriate comments / PMs, definitely report them to the mods. They should be able to check the IP address of those logging on and ensure they stayed blocked regardless of the number of different user names / e-mail addresses they use.0 -

You had a scan before you started the stimming? I've never had one then, just bloods a few days before. Are you GonalF or Menopur?
I'm curious as to the differences in treatment at the various clinics (in case you hadn't noticed!) if I've asked before, sorry (brain fried by buseralin & antibiotics I think) d'you mind me asking where you are having treatment & is it NHS or private?
More questions to bug my consultant with - I bet she's really fed up with me! Last time I saw her I'd read on FF that loads of ladies have their ET done by a guided ultrasound, and they can see it happening on a screen, and some even get given piccies of their embies! So I asked her why my clinic doesn't do that and had her scurrying off for stats on different success rates etc, etc! Like to keep them on their toes!!!!!
Hi FE no worries about the questions and I don't rememeber you asking before. Yes I had a scan before starting Menepur, it was to check womb lining and overies were as they should be. My treatment is NHS so maybe its a money saving thing, atm am being treated in Queen Marys at Roehampton, but after EC I will move to The Bridge Clinic in London for ET. Don't know what happens on transfer will have to ask.
I have a question? Does any one know what the risks are (if any) going to dentist with IVF/Pregnancy I need to have a filling so have to have injection and don't want to tke a risk. I should have asked nurse yesterday but totally forgot.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

I think you should be able to continue where you you stopped with your old hospital (are you moving far? If not too far, you might be able to continue care with the current one, I would have thought - my referral offered me hospitals up to 30 miles away, and now it is patients choice where to be treated).
If you need to move to new hospital, you may need to ask your GP to forward all the details he has to new hospital and also the current hospital to forward all the results, etc to new hospital. Well, that is what I have done when I moved from NHS to private. Mind you, Bolton hospital promised to send the results to private hospital, but never did it!!!
I got a provisional date for my HyCoSy - it is next Thursday at 8:30. That is, if BUPA stops playing up and authorise it. They we having all sorts of questions yesterday - apparently they called doctor and said it is something done just before IVF and they don't cover IVF treatments. He was surprised by this, as apparently BUPA always covered this test before and there've never been all these questions. Anyway, probably jsut someone doesn't really now what they are doing. I hope they will sort it out quick. He did say, that if BUPA refuses to pay, I can pay myself (~£280), or he can transfer me to his NHS care...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Hi,I may be talking complete rubbish here, but I thought a Hycosy was to check to see if your tubes were blocked - if this is the case then I would have thought it would be classed as a diagnostic test for fertility purposes, not nessesaraly just as a precurser to IVF ?
I was originally booked for a hycosy, but It was later cancelled, due to the fact that IVF was being reccomended regardless and therefore it was not relevent whether my tubes were blocked or not.
Hope this makes sense0 -

Yes, it is a diagnostic test to see why we are still TTC!!!! Doctor couldn't understand where Bupa got the IVF part from, nor could I. They obviously have been googling wrong websites!!! It was nice of doctor to call me last night and explain what is going on and that he booked me in provisionally for early morning on Thursday in his other hospital.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
