    Hi Shelly,

Not had any stress or upset at all, actually had better month than usual really. Last cycle I ov'd on cd13 but had a shorter thasn usual luteal phase. Hopefully the tests will give some goof results this week.

As today is OTD and pregnancy test number 9 was still a BFP,I guess its time to pack my keyboard, stretch my wings and fly across cyber space to the pregnancy thread - although I hope you don't mind if I continue to visit and follow your journeys.

Over the last 18 months or so this thread has seen happiness, humour, frustration, and darn right bloody unfairness, but knowing that there is somebody out there who understands what you are going through makes it that little bit easier.

Without this thread and all you wonderfully supportive ladies I really don't think I would have survived the last few months - it really has made a huge difference and probably enabled me to keep my sanity when the going got tough.

Lilo - Your determination not to give up when things looked bleak is inspiring, not only did you stay positive, you are always on hand to say the right thing, offer a virtual hug and offer practical advise. It won't be too long until you're officially back TTC and I'll be sending you lots of super sticky baby dust, prayers and I promise to "do the dance" wherever I am(even if I risk getting arrested) XXXX

FE - If there is any justice everything will be OK this time, after what you've been through, you really do deserve it !!! I'll be watching closely, and hopefully we'll be comparing our stretch marks, swollen ankles and piles very soon.Bring on the raging hormones !!!! XXXX

toniq - How are you ? I've got everything crossed that you'll be joining me in the next few days.XXXX

Angeladavis & sominum -What can I say apart from,I wish you the very best of luck and I'll be watching closely XXXX

Everybody else - Thankyou so much for your congratulations and good wishes - hopefully it won't be too long until this thread is renamed "The BF thread".

Remember that even when you think that the odds are well and truly against you, don't give up,because miracles can & do Happen !!!1

how exciting for you Nottslass, I hope you enjoy the next 8 1/2 months and all goes without a hitch.

Well still no peak on cbfm now on cd16. Finding it all very frustrating and upsetting, can't help thinking that it's indicative of the tumour not responding to the drugs again. If they have to increase the doseage again I'm worried that the cbfm won't work. Why does it always seem like it's 1 step forward and 2 back.

Hi Sara I wanted to say that i am so sorry for your loss. I wanted to bring you some hope, my sister in law had 3 miscarriages one after the other and when she was referred to a specialist clinic they found out the reason and she was able to have two children. I hope you find your answers. Take care and look after yourself.

Thanks for the kind words nottslass, I hope Ill be joining you before too long as well. I really wish you the best of luck for the next 8 months, just enjoy every moment, and treasure every day with that bundle of fun! Please let me know about the babe, by pm if you prefer!

    All the best Lilo

PS becs, dont panic, wait and see what happens. As shelly says it could just be a not ovulatory cycle. You are due blood tests/consultant visit so you are in the right hands. Take care hugs XX

  • Hi everyone,

I've spent the last few days reading this thread and feel like I know you all personally now!!! I've laughed and had a few tears at your posts.

Whilst I'm not ttc at the moment, this year was going to be the year that we were. Two things have scuppered our plans, first I've been made redundant - obviously not good for maternity leave. The second is that I've just been diagnosed with PCOS after a year of irregular periods. Diagnosis came via blood tests and an ultrasound that showed more than 12 follicles.

If that wasn't annoying enough, in November 2006 my son was stillborn at 34 weeks after a placental abruption. I could go on for pages about this and how awful it was and how poorly I was and how much I have grieved but I'm sure you all understand without me doing so.. I got pg back in 2006 without even trying whilst on the pill (I must've not taken it properly I think), so for my next pregnancy I have to not only face a stressful time worrying constantly and then being induced early I now have to worry about getting pg at all!

I guess one of things I have to do is find out if I'm ovulating at all. Please can you all give me your opinions on the best methods - I can see you do opks, temp checks - what should I be looking out for?

And if I can help at all with advice for you guys - any questions about my previous pg and about placental abruption and anything else I'd be glad to help. I think you guys are all amazing working so hard to get what you want. At the same time, I understand too - I'll do it all myself if I have to!

Hi Purple & welcome to the thread.

Sorry to read about your son. I can't imagine how awful that must have been.

I don't do anything to check ov each month as I had the use of a Clearblue monitor for 6 months so I know roughly when to expect ov so we bd in the days leading up to and around ov.

If your cycle length is regular you could get some OPK's for a few months to learn your rough ov cycle days then do as I do. Though lots of women keep using the OPk's every month for the confirmation they have ov'd.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
  • Thanks Shelly,

My periods aren't regular at all at the moment - if I got some of these opks, when would I start testing after day 1 of my next period? And do I wee on one every day until it indicates that I'm ovulating?

Would it be better to just buy one of these Clear Blue kits? If so, where's the cheapest place to buy for the machine thing (?!) and the test strips?

    Thanks guys
