if you are going on holiday, they will probably bring the scan forward. Also QMC are doing some study that means you get more scans and some ladies I know have recently had 3d scans free!! I went to city so only go tthe usual 2d scans.

You'd be better off waiting until you get back to be honest nottslass. You can't be sure of seeing the heartbeat until towards the end of week 6, though sometimes it can be seen as early as the end of week 5. If you had an early scan, and yours was a slow grower, you'd spend the whole of the holiday worrying about it. It can also be difficult to see more than just the sac this early on, so you wouldn't get much reassurance about anything if you go too early.

We had an early scan this time round as I had some bleeding in week 5, but my consultant wouldn't book it any earlier than 6.5 weeks because he didn't want to worry me unduly, and I was glad he did so.

    Enjoy your holidays.

Really sorry to hear your news Sarah,

Don't lose hope. My friends sister had 5 miscarriages that they never found the cause of before she went on to have a healthy boy 2 years ago, she's now last week just given birth to his little sister. So it can happen. Try and stay positive and look to the future which I know must be incredibly hard when you're going through it.

    Hi everyone,
Not having a good month here, after the past 2 cycles with me ov'ing on cd14 & cd13 I thought they had finally managed to get the drugs for my tumour right.
However I am now cd15 and have still not had a peak on cbfm. This means assuming I get 1 tommorow would be ov'ing on cd17. I'm really worried again incase this is a reflection of my levels going up again. I have a blood test booked for tuesday to check them as seeing my consultant on 1st june.

    Hi Becs.

Have you had any upset this month or higher than normal stress? These reasons (and many more) can affect ov. Its not all that uncommon to not ov at all some months.
Looking back over my CBFM records I didn't ov at all in the 6th month I was using it and had a very short cycle.
