Thanks everyone. Gymfriend I started charting last July and that was showing ov but I'm wondering if things weren't still right because prolactin was too high again in december so only known that was ok after doubling the dose and bloods checked in feb. Certainly this month things have been very different, ov'ing much earlier, more cm and good preogesterone results so maybe it's only now completely under control. Have to have prolactin checked again next month but I'm hopeful that this month is the start of some textbook cycles giving us the best chance for conception. Onwards and upwards as they say! Also managed to show dh an article which says he should give up alchohol for 3 months and he agreed!:T

I just wanted to tell you all that there is hope please don't get to down I have suspected polycystic ovaries (due to my first doctor never taking me seriously this has never been confirmed) it took me three years of trying to get my first and almost two for my second both times I had just lost weight (am a bit on the heavy side but not so much you would have thought it would make a differance) and this would now be my first suggestion to anyone with problames conceving
    ENSURE YOU ARE HEALTHY
    a healthy weight
    healthy diet
healthy mind not to much stress ect
My second would be to relax and remember that its still supposed to be fun I found that both times I had almost given up hope and therefore stopped trying I really don't think the stress of trying did me any good at all !

I hope you all manage to conceave soon
    Good Luck XX

    Morning all,

Wow Becs I'm amazed you can get him to give up alcohol for 3 months, I'd be lucky if my OH would give up his beer for 3 days!! Things do sound good, I think it's tough with this bl**dy tumour because you can never be sure that your levels are right constantly, so the 14 day ov and shorter cycle must be a good sign :) I've started to feel the same this month, like things are normal again, after a 29 day cycle and pos opk, so I think levels are only now coming under control. In that sense, it almost feels like month one of ttc because i know previously that at least 12 months there has been 0 chance of conceiving.

Thanks for the positive story Dreamy :) Never hurts any of us to relax does it...think that's my greatest problem, work stress, life stress, ttc stress...I'm yet to find an activity that actually helps me relax - suggestions welcome :)

    Hope you're all ok.

Thanks for the post, Skinty :)

I'm really confused about the progesterone issue. My cd21 result for progesterone was 30, and I was told it was low by my GP, but then I read that some clinics use 40 as the cut-off point for a 'normal' result, and some use 30. I didn't ov until cd15 that cycle either, so cd21 was not 7dpo anyway.

Did the doctor say your result was high/normal, Becs? Myaccount - good to hear from you. You have obviously been given different information too! My GP didn't even know what they would have regarded as 'normal' when I got my results back. Sometimes I feel like they just don't really have a clue, or don't care enough about fertility issues to bother getting all the info!

I'm seeing my GP on Monday, so I'll get the opportunity to discuss and find out where I'm at. I'm not intending trying again until I'm sure my progesterone is ok. I know some people might think I'm being daft, but I have to be sure that anything that could be improved IS improved!

    Hi Gymfriend,

Lets just say "saying and doing" are 2 different things, his first question was "can I have non alchoholic beer!:rotfl: To be fair last month he did give it up for 2 weeks prior to ov which I was very impressed about. I think he's beginning to see what I have to go through emotionally each month as well as what seems like continual blood tests at the moment, all the tablets etc and thinks it's something he could do.:T
I know exactly what you mean about it feeling like month 1, that is exactly how I'm feeling at the moment. I think it's what has helped me get over yesterdays disappointment and pick myself up so quickly.I really need to lose a lot of weight but have found it impossible for the past couple of years despite trying everything going. I have a very healthy diet as well and don't eat processed foods etc as we cook eveything from scratch inc bread even! It's so frustrating to see friends who are so skinny eating rubbish all day long! So the weight is my next challenge, I tried a really drastic option a couple of months ago and lost a stone in 4 weeks but then I fell off the wagon as it was tough! No bread, pasta, dairy, wheat, pork for starters. So I'm going to give that ago again. Fruit salad instead of cereal for breakfast, vegetable soup or salad instead of a sandwich for lunch and vegetables and meat or fish for dinner which is ok as that is what we normally have.
AnnieM my GP said that was a normal progesterone level and I did quite a lot of scouring the net yesterday and most seem to say anything over 20 is good. My result was also only 5dpo as had to have it done early because of Easter.so was a CD19 test.

Wow well done on a stone in 4 weeks, that's one heck of an effort! Do you go to the gym? I've found it hard to shift weight this last couple of years, though I'm about average weight. I used to be whippet thin and despite not changing habits have put on weight, so am trying to get to the gym at least 4/5 times a week at the moment to ensure I don't put on any more weight!

I'm a bit irritated today as wanted to bd this morning pre-work but OH was too tired :( Will have to grab him tonight between work & going out, then again tomorrow. I'm trying to follow the SMEP but wonder if it's a bit pointless doing it tonight and tomorrow as I got the + opk first thing yesterday :/ It's so confusing!

I've not plucked up the courage to join a gym again. I've got so much to lose, I walk everyday and swim during the week. If I manage to lose a couple more stone I will probably join then, apart from the obvious self confidence I think it'll be good to hold something back for when it starts to get tougher losing the weight.

Hi. The only advice I can give you is if it doesn't smell nasty or doesn't change colour (from what is normal for you) its most likely normal for you.
I used to have ALOT of CM. So much that I had to wear panty liners. Doc said as long as it didn't smell or change appearance it was ok.
Now I have lost most of my cervix I get none at all but still have to use panty liners. Have got so used to them being there I know immediately if I have forgotten to put one on.....feels very odd :rotfl:

If you are worried though a trip to the docs can't hurt.
