Thinking of you Annie.
Ginvzt when I went for my first apointment recently it said specifically that we were both to attend. But that was in a fertility clinic, not a women's clinic. A quick phonecall to check can't do any harm.
They took our passport photos off us, had us fill in another form or two. They asked us our weights and heights to check our BMI, ran through our medical forms with us, then set us up for another SA for OH and a HSG for me. She had lots of slides on her computer to explain things to us a bit better and just generally introduced herself and told us the brief plan outline.
I actually found it really hard to go, because I was petrified that she was going to say nice to meet you and send me away for another year, but she put my mind at ease that we would get the ball rolling.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
So sorry to hear your news Annie :grouphug:
I know the mothers feeling Ginvzt, my mum regularly makes little jokes about waiting for grandchildren...and knows about my health issues, just doesn't take them seriously enough. I can't bear the conversation so just switch it.
Have had a weird month this month, af arrived on CD28, with absolutely no sign at all. In fact, I mentioned to OH just a day before that I'd had no spots which seem to have started coming about a week before af, and also that I wasn't bloated. Then she appeared. It's only the 3rd af since starting on medication for the pituitary tumour, the first one was 39 days, second was 36 days, so wondering if this is a good or a bad sign...makes me wonder if I even ovulated the first 2 cycles? Must buy some ov sticks this month, but trying to resist as I think it may freak OH out doing it on demand and make him think the fact we do 'it' every day at the moment isn't because I have a burning desire for him :rotfl:Had a few tears whens she arrived because as each month passes I feel more inadequate, but OH is very calm so it passed in a day, and now I'm on CD2 and looking aheadAppointment made for MRI results in 4 weeks so presuming results must be alright or they'd rush me in
Hope everyone is ok? & bd'ing for fun & not just for baby making purposes (trying to tell myself this!)xxx
Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
Hi gymfiend - sounds really positive - if you take it that the 28 day cycle is the 'textbook' cycle, your medication has regulated your hormones perfectly!! This is hopefully good news as that should mean that you have a good chance of falling!. I would do the ov sticks for 1 month, and sell it to your OH that it is to make sure that your cycle has returned to normal, and find out when you ov for future cycles but bd as you normally would. Once you know that you have ov and when, you will know for future cycles and would stop as it can make it too clinical if you are not v careful.
Hope all is well with everyone else, am away now for the weekend, as it is my birthday and I am officially geriatric (40:eek:   )
Take care - have a good one - LiloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110 -

How are things going with this IVF cycle nottslass? I had it at the back of my mind that you would be coming up to EC earlyish next week, and that as we are off on holiday then, I should check in to see if all was well over the weekend, but :money: has different ideas on that, as the site will be closed then!
Will be keeping fingers and toes crossed for you, as I hopefully lie by the pool in the sun0 -

We went to sign our consent forms yesterday, aand the nurse confirmed that we had good quality embies and it was just unfortunate that they didn't implant, she also said that as we got enough good quality eggs to get to Blastocyst last time,we should hopefully get the same this cycle (fingers crossed)
Enjoy the Holiday - where are you going ,oh and does the Bikini still fit ?0 -
Hi Nicki, I start downregging next Thursday ,so egg collection should be around the 4th May.

Oh Good! I'll be back before you start in earnest then, so will be able to cheer you on properly as you update!
We are off to Cyprus and hopefully will get some nice sunshine. Not sure bikini would be a good idea any longer though - this is how I look as of last week. (Warning - don't click on the link if you are easily shocked!)

Hi Gymfriend,
I know what you mean about the mum comments as well! She seems to think that now I take the bromocriptine that the tumour isn't there anymore and there must be other reasons for us not conceiving!
On the subject of textbook cycles, my bromocriptine was doubled a couple of months ago and last blood test a couple of weeks ago showed levels at their lowest since diagnosis. Last cycle I ov'd on cd19 which was 3 days earlier than I had been since I started monitoring cycles a year ago. My clearblue fertility monitor showed my first peak today so means ov tomorrow on cd14! Woohoo! Assuming this is VERY good news that meds are finally on top of this! I so want this to be our month it would just be perfect! 2nd wedding anniversary on monday which marks our 2nd anniversary of ttc. WOuld also mean a New Year baby, what a perfect way to start the new year and would also mean that we are a family of capricorns! DH, me and the dog all Jan babies! HHmm do you think I might be pinning a bit too much on this month!0 -

Ahhhhh, you'll look great - properly preggers !!!!! I always think the worst bit is when you just look like you've just put on few lbs,but not properly pregnant yet.
Last year in Egypt (think June & very hot) there was a woman who looked well over 6months,but managed to spend the whole time looking cool and elegant in lots of floaty linen and chiffon, whilst the rest of us (non pregnant ) spent the whole time looking, well, er,hot and sweaty- life just isn't fair !!!lol0 -
Aaahh, Nicki, I thought the photo was lovely!
Happy Birthday Notslass!0
