  • GGRR - Is something up with the site?

I've typed 3 long msgs & lost them all, and I can't view any 'subscribed threads' in 'user cp'.

    ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

TTC with FI - RIP my 2 MC Angels - 3rd full ICSI starts May/June 2009 - BFP!!! Please let it be 'third time lucky'..... EDD 7th March 2010.
  • OK - in brief shorthand in case I get chucked out again......

Me update - feeling very down. CD39, No sign AF. TEsted Sun - neg (of course). DH more upset than me (why? - he knows well as I do chance of 'natural conception >1%).

Nottlass - I hear you re the age thing - closer to 39 than 38 now and still TTC#1.....
If you thinking of going abroad, try i-Village fertility chat pages - several people done it & could give info advice/experiences?

Next consultant appt Thurs. Was really wishing it would hurry up, but now feel down about that too. As AF so late we have 'missed the slot' even if she says we are 'go' for next cycle - If AF starts in next 2 weeks then Stimming/EC/ET would fall when when we are away on hols with SK's - BL**dy typical!!!

Hope all have ing good week in TTC-Land!

    Good luck for Thursday.

I'll have a look on I village later ,theres several threads on fertility friend and fertility zone,bu theres TMI,if you know what I mean, after a bit my brain gets frazzled.lol.

Before we thought about going abroad, we wanted to get started on another cycle ASAP - but I think It would be better to leave it another month or 2,I think OH needs a rest from my raging hormones !!! I've also applied for an internal job promotion, and I don't want my boss to think I'll be having another attempt and leaving to go off on maternity leave (oh how I wish)

  • Hi all from a much happier me today ;) Thanks for helping me to feel better - I knew you'd understand!

Crikey Nottslass, you really do have a lot to think about! Good luck trawling through all the information, I'm sure you'll arrive at the right decision eventually.

I hope your appt goes well on Thurs FE.

Gymfiend - I rarely temp now as it interferes with my sleep (I used to dream I'd be taking my temp and then wake up in the middle of the night with the thermometer in my mouth!) but my temps immediately after OV would vary quite a lot for 2-3 days. Enough sometimes for Fertilityfriend to change my OV date, which got a bit frustrating.

Out of interest how quickly did those of you who have gone through IVF begin your first cycle after any initial investigations?
  • Good Luck for Thursday Fairy Elephant

Glad to hear everyone is a little happier this morning

Thanks for asking Nottslass, I go for a laparoscopy, cystoscopy, hystoscopy and lymph node biopsy on 19th February, and should I be walking anytime soon after that!! and all is clear and ok, then the main event is on 9th March. At this stage, unless the next op throws up a problem, the tracelectomy is going ahead, so in about 7 months, I will be rejoining you all on the roller coaster!

We started almost straight away,we'd already knew it was OH sperm that was the problem.
I had an AFC scan on day 1 of my next AF then started Down regging on day 21.

You know what I fear most with all these 'investigations'? That it is both me and OH that have problems. Although, in that case we should just go and start the adoption... Hopefully, in 3 weeks we will be a bit more clear about what is going on!!!!!!!

I am going a bit mad at the moment - fed up at work and want to get my maternity leave not to have to come to this office for a while and I hope to be able to do part time afterwards...

That's exactly how I feel, Ginvzt! I've been here 3.5 years, and when I took the job it was only temporary, in my mind, as I was sure I would be leaving to have a baby fairly soon...

Thanks all for your good wishes re Thursday. Will let you know how it goes. I don't know if I am hoping that she will want to investigate poss reasons for the M/C, or just let us get on and try again as soon as we can. Got to see the counsellor straight afterwards as well - the clinic booked the appts automatically - so of course I have a niggling little worry that the consultant is going to give us bad news and they think we'll need the counsellor to help us through it....

    Hello everyone,

I've been a lurker on this thread for a little while but haven't had the courage to post until now! I felt it was kind of the first step to admitting there really is a problem which I still don't really feel ready to admit
I'm 36 now and dh is 31. We got married April 2007 and decided because of my age we wanted to try for a family straight away. I came off the pill a couple of months before the wedding. In May 2007 after the wedding af did not arrive, got very excited thinking must be pregnant but all tests done said otherwise! Anyway after months of going to the doctor and being told it was probably just stress they did blood tests in January 2008. This led to my diagnosis of a pituitary tumour, I was started on meds to lower prolactin in April 2008 and af returned in May 08. I started temping and that showed ov but still no luck, think first few months were a bit hit and miss though. Anyway latest blood tests befroe xmas showed prolactin up again so have had to double meds and have another test in a few weeks. In the meantime I have bought clearblue fertility monitor to reassure me that I was indeed ov'ing. I am now on my 3rd cycle with the monitor.
I'm really reluctant to go back to dr's as keep telling myself new dosage will sort prolactin out and then everything will be fine. I don't know how I can make myself admit there is something wrong and go for more help. I'm also very overweight and despite trying everything in past couple of years have not been able to lose any weight at all. Have tried another "diet" (I use the word reluctantly as not really a diet as such as more eliminating certain food types) since being on increased medication and have lost 13lbs in 3 weeks. This is another reason as to why I'm reluctant to go because dr's always opt for the easy way out and put everything down to weight.
Anyway sorry for the long first post but needed to explain my situation.

  • Becs I have only posted on this thread a few times, although read it everyday to see how people are getting on in their journeys.

I too had problems with my prolactin levels and had not seen a period for 7 yrs. I was then informed about a natural herb called Agnus Castus. A bit sceptical I google the herb and found alot of good feedback.

I decided too buy it from a health shop for £5 for 100, I take 2x 400mg in the morning and 2x 400mg in the evening. Was told they take about 3 months to kick into your system.

Well I have now been on them just over a month, and am pleased to say I have seen my first period for 7yrs as of last friday. Also noticed (tmi LOL ) my discharge was alot differnt so decided to check if I was ovulating and HEY Presto! I was ovulating, So still taking the herb and hoping this month to TTC.

So maybe worth looknig into trying these as They are working for me at moment, maybe a coincidence but I feel that having no period for 7yrs and then having one last wk after a month on these must be because they are working, I have also lost 7lb in the last month while on these.

Hope that gives you a bit of help and im sure some-one will come along and help you a little better than I can.

But good luck in your journey with TTC;)
