I agree the way she addressed it certainly isn't very nice feely
I was just worried that you might be thinking of a HB almost to spite her if you see what I mean
If you want one then fair do's but get a second medical opponion I guess is what I am trying to say

Hehe, you seem to know me quite well! I'm a big fan of cutting my nose of to spite my face :rotfl:
But not taking any risks with this baby, want everything to be as safe as possible.
The only reason I was thinking about a HB was because of my anxiety.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

And this was after the MW asked her to be nice to me! Glad I didn't see her when she wasn't being nice! My BMI is 130/77, didn't think that was that high.
My BP was 130/95 when I booked in and 138/93 on Tuesday.. At its highest its been 135/100!.
Glad everyone else has been lovely and professional!

feelie just a thought but how about a quick discharge after labour?? if all is well than you can be home within 5/6 hours of having baby. obviously if that is what you want and you feel ready to come home? was just an idea that i dont think has been mentiond. i dont this the last time and it was great i got home put baby to bed, had takeaway and stayed in bed until the MW came the following day!
ok the tree is up and lights are on had to sit down cause im knackered lol! not had much to eatwith stomach but it seems to be loads beter. am desperate to get the mince pies out lol:DWhat's for you won't go past you0 -
feelie did she give you a reason for saying your gonna tear/bleed coz surely unless you've got some kind of blood disorder she can't kno that
No, she just said that obese ladies tear more and bleed more. Strange.
Just had a phone call from Mother-In-Law. OH's dad has gone into hospitalDon't know if its voluntary, or if he has been sectioned. I didn't like to ask - he has been reasonably well in the years I've known him. OH hasn't had a day of work for a couple of weeks, and worked 70 hours last week, and I don't know how he is going to cope with this. He is on his way home and I don't want to have to tell him

hmm I've never heard of that but then I don't work in maternity, I kno large ladies are more likely to have large babies and then here are complications but if you aren't putting on weight then surely bub should be "normal" - thats my logic anyway.
Sorry about your FIL, is it Alzheimer's? hubby lost his gran to something similar in feb it was such an awful time for us, just try to make sure OH doesn't bottle it up and give him lots of hugs xx
Ps. i'm now crying about Gran-in-law, I'd love to say its hormones but I'm always like this!0 -

Manic depression. He has been stable for almost 10 years, with no hospitalisation. Seems to have been a rapid decline, he was fine last time we saw them and spoke on the phone. MIL was exhausted and off to bed. Its her Birthday next week, we were going to have a buffet for her, but she doesn't want it now. To top it off, sister in law was round with the baby today! Makes me so mad, there are three grandchildren and MIL is always made to babysit, despite having enough to do looking after FIL. SIL shouldn't have put on her on a day like today.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

Well at least he's getting the right help while he's there, poor MIL! I'm desperate to have a night without chris this weekend but my dad's got flu and its been mum's first week back at work after her hernia op so I'm just gonna have to put up with it, there's no way I'd ask now coz I know she'd say yes and then do to much and hurt herself:rolleyes:
I'm young so I'll have to just keep on chuggin along I supose this is what you do when your a mum!0
