That'd work. Scars are on the tops of my arms, so a tshirt would cover them. I'm not fussed, but OH thinks it is unfair for me to let other people see them :o

I wear a rash vest to stop sunburn when swimming on holidays. You should be able to pick one up dead cheap in a surfer type shop at this time of year... I wouldn't wear a normal t-shirt as the water will make it saggy...

If it doesn't bother you then I wouldn't bother really... Why would it be unfair for others to see them? Would serve them right for looking... (I always think that to myself when wandering round naked with the curtains open...) Ahem... anyway....

My bloods came back fine but I have had a bruise on the back of my hand from the midwife taking bloods 2 weeks ago and it shows no sign of going yet... Maybe they just want to lecture you on what foods to eat?
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Had my booking appointment today. They're taking the results of the scan to be the best guess at my EDD so think I'm 7+0 whereas by dates I'm 8+5. Which I think means I got the BFP at 2+6... hmm doubtful! Ah well, will see on the proper scan!

Midwife phoned to make my 12wk-ish scan appointment whilst I was there and booked it for 23rd Dec - "yay, before Christmas" I thought.. Then as she was flicking through my old notes, she realised I've got hypothyroidism, so said I had to be under a different consultant and she phoned back and he's only in on 29th Dec so my scan got moved to then! Boo hiss! :( I don't actually have to see him, but I have to have the scan on the day he's in just in case I do need to see him.

Midwife tried to take my bloods but got about three drops out of me so I've got to go to the hospital first thing tomorrow to have them done - I've got about four bags/forms to have done! :( Daren't even look at the insides of my elbows yet.. I'm picturing black and blue!

Will check for instructions...did 1471 and the number does not accept incoming calls (same for most of the hospital I think  )

I am bruising very easily at the moment...which is amaemia related isn't it? I have one on my arm that I haven't got a clue how I got it. But it looks like hubby has been man-handling me. I have had to hide it :o When the lady took my bloods she asked me in a whisper if everything was alright...
    I googled and got this
    Why get tested?
To determine general health status and to screen for a variety of disorders, such as anaemia and infection, as well as nutritional status and exposure to toxic substances

I'm guessing your blood was watery if midwife said that unless you mean she said it about the bruise.
My mum asked the MW if my blood looked normal as mine was sort of post box red and her's is usually much darker (prob due to all he meat she eats, then wonders why she's overweight:rolleyes:)
Ps I have nothing against being overweight just my mum does nothing but complain about her weight but never sticks to healthy eating for longer than a month, maybe I'm just being harsh as I've not been there myself

Thats about normal Elle, think they took 4 bottles out of me for booking in... Don't worry about EDD at this point either, it will be more accurate at 12 weeks scan...

  • Thank you so much Krystal and Sami for googling for me - I don't dare google these days...just in case (for myself at least!)

Sami - it was the bruise she was talking about...she asked what I had done and I said I couldn't remember so she whispered 'is everything alright'.

Elle best to have the scan when the right people are there, it will be a nice late christmas pressie for you and OH.
So it seems like the hospitals are working on 29th after all...boo - that was supposed to be my day for christmas with my bro and his family...if I knew what kind of appointment it was I would try and change it

BMI is not infallible and other factors should be taken into consideration - a lot of professional rugby players are technically obese according to their BMI even though they are nothing but muscle and sinew (oo yum - I married one:j )

I married one too Lucifa :j :j :j :j I still go weak at the knees everytime I look at him :p

I'm very excited as our pram arrives tomorrow! :T
