I saw a sign at the surgery last time we were there "pregnancy tests £2" - if they try to charge me £2 I swear to God I'm going to go nuclear! I'm gonna bring the whole battery of tests I've taken in and dump them on the desk! (poor DH, he's already cringing over this - doesn't know what I'll do! - I believe the word he muttered was "hormonal":rotfl: ) AND the snotty girl on the phone asked me when the last AF was - told her - and she says "well, you're not even late yet!" um... actually I am - as I have short cycles. Grrrrrr and if I wasn't late yet but still got BFP - what does it really matter? I know I'll have to go through the whole "short cycles" stuff with them when I turn in the test, when I talk to the GP, then again with the midwife. Wonder if I can write it out on a card - "Yes, I know. I have short cycles. This is my ovulation date........ so you can actually have an ACCURATE due date. " *sigh*

As far as the "being too fat" goes - I am well overweight - I had my DS 2.5 years ago - no epidural, no pethidrin (sp?), no anything really - and no problems. It was really no more or less difficult that 20 years prior to that when I had DD and I was a normal weight then. And I'm fully anticipating getting the "you weigh too much" lecture along with the "older mother" spiel. I just have to remember *breathe in* *breathe out* *don't scream* ....

    i think it's by height/weight ratio.

if you go google BMI calculator you should be able to work it out, i know there's a calculator on the weight watchers website.

Don't worry - I've taken the view that so long as by Bean has a place to sleep, clothes to keep decent and warm and a place to sleep anything else can come later. As for the buggy - just think of those January sales you can take advantage of...

AM: get your mum to join boots parenting club so she can get the voucher for bag :) I did last time coz mum thought the old huggies one was just right for her school trips when she has to take all the first aid stuff :rotfl:
