    Hello all!

I got a positive test result on friday, and I've been lurking over the past few days - Gosh, you ladies can talk :D
I had to pop a sample into the docs on Mon - they like to confirm for their records, my results are back and I can call in for them after work, but I'm scared! I know I'm being daft!

I've done a due date calculator online and it seems bubs is due around the 5th Aug, and I'm 5 weeks. :J I have my first appointment with the MW on 8th Jan.
:jyey its that time of the month again, 2 newbies in 1 day:j

Congrats! Don't worry about the doc's - seems silly that they can't tell you over the phone seeing as you know what they'll say.

We were trying to but as I never new when my periods would come I was doing the tests regularly. When the 1st test showed +ive I was nearly hyperventilating. I thought the doctor would test me to be concludive but he didn't, if he had, I think I would have been nervous about him saying I was wrong.

I have a quick question - when picking up your Bounty pack at Asda and baby basket at Tesco's, do you need to go to Customer services or just go to a normal cashier? TIA

Well you might not be able to hide it ;) I had no choice but to tell work when I ended up in hospital at 6 weeks pregnant after throwing up excessively :)
And if you are unlucky enough to get morning sickness then trust me... sex will NOT be on your list of "to do's" ;) I'm 16 weeks and just beginning to get my sex drive back :)

I feel like I live at that hospital!

Appointment went okay. Got to hear heartbeat which is good.

    Not so good news:
    - I'm too fat for a home birth
    - I'm too fat for a water birth
    - I'm so fat I've got to see the anaesthetist because epidural and pethidine might not work
    - I'm at high risk of several complications, including severe tearing and heaving bleeding
    - I'm at high risk for needing a ceaserian, because I'm so fat my womb might not work
    - I've had protein in the last three urine samples
    - My BP is borderline

So, got to go back to see anaesthetist, have a diabetes test and have another scan at 34 weeks.

I declined the offer to see a dietician, but I'm not supposed to gain any weight for the remainder of my pregnancy. I'm supposed to start exercising, but with the SPD that seems impossible.

I am back from the midwife - she didn;t recognise me and didn;t know I'd miscarried! Bit cross about that but mostly I'm confused about my due date.

Does anyone know how soon after you conceive you are likely to get symptoms? I tested cos I had tiredness and constipation and lumps on my nips, how soon do those symptoms begin?

Cos I don;t understand how she worked out my due date. She decided to take the day I stopped bleeding from the mc as the first day of my last period, making me 6+4.

But, if she's dating it from 17 Oct, then that means I conceived on 31 Oct bt I got my BFP on 11 November - just 12 days later! Is that possible?

I thought I'd conceived the week before, making me nearly 8 weeks, but the conception indicator did show 1-2 weeks on 11 Nov, then 2-3 a week later, and 3+ on 22 Nov.

DO you think she is right? Or am I week further on?

I just don;t see how I could get a BFP only 11-12 days after conceiving AND have symptoms.

CS Desk for Bounty pack at Asda and the Tesco baskets are just on the shelves next to the Huggies nappies so just put it in your trolley! Do you have a Sainsbury's coupon for their basket too? Its lovely! :D
