Another CONGRATULATIONS
I read somthing in work, that you have to inform them by 15 weeks so they can do the risk assessment. Then, i have to give them my MatB1 and tell them in writing, when I intend to take my maternity leave, before i'm 25 weeks. (Next week for me - yipeee!!).
Not sure if this is standard maternity law or just my employers though.:beer:0 -

My sil has got a industrial one out for hire for free from a support breast group, but she lives up north, and when I asked the midwife about it, she just gave me a lecture about why I should be breastfeeding myself and not relying on a machine.
Anyways, I can't get one for free like she did, and the one she has is £65 for 14 days!!!! And then £30 per month after that.
I'm thinking about the Medela Swing Pump. Can anyone recommend?
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the medela electric pumps (or any electric pump!) because I felt they put too much pressure on my nipples and it hurt. I can't hand express, but my avent hand pump was the singular best £50 I spent on any baby equipment.0 -

I think you get your MATB1 when you're 20 weeks, I'm sure I read that they don't give them to you before that.Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -
That's right pinkpig, MatB1 is for maternity leave and pay.

MWARHARHARHAR I had a McD's!!!! A big fat horrid Big Mac and it was GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! :rotfl:
We also went to mothercare - not impressed, Mama's and Papa's - very impressed and they have a small maternity wear sale and I got a pair of nice casual trousers down from £30 to £10! WOOOHOOO!
Dangerously we went to JL too and we have seen THE buggy we want
It's the iCandy - I already liked it from the adverts but having seen it in action - WOWWEEAND the Maxi Cosi fits in it too
DH was eyeing up the recarro car seat and then saying that he'd never live down having a kid with a better sports car seat than him *sigh*...
Now just need the iCandy cheaper then JL but nearby so they will pricematchhehehe love the "never knowingly undersold"

Tine - check out www.kiddicare.com
It's by far and away the cheapest retailer for baby stuff, plus if you spend over £50 you get free delivery and it's next working day.. I've just ordered my Phil & Teds sport from there.0 -
As far as I know they don't do the iCandy...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
