Hi ladies!!!
Hope you are all well... I'm going to go back and catch up on the thread soon.
Just wanted to let you know that I went and registered our pregnancy at the docs today.
He used one of those old school cardboard date thingywhatsits to find my due date... he puts me at 7 weeks today.
I know I'm probably not that far, but happy to go with that until dating scan as it makes my due date the same day as my mum and dad's wedding anniversary next year!
So, what else? oh too much to mention. Hormaones are crazy right now, but no other real symptoms (they have all disappeared). Mr P is telling me it's the calm before the storm (thanks honey - love you too .)
I paniced so much that I bought another test today (I think I'm going mental) and of course it was still BFP!
Going to go for a private scan as Mr P wants us announce on his birthday (at his birthday dinner) which is end of Dec. I'm happy with an early scan... I think he'll be more excited and believe it's happening more when he sees a heartbeat!
Just don't know ifI should go end of next week = early scan OR wait 3 weeks and go for a super early dating scan???
Anyway, that's enough jibber jabber from me..I'm off to catch up...
love to all

I like to maintain the illusion that I was perfectly polite and quiet while giving birth and really don't want any evidence to the contrary! one of them I didn't watch but was clearly focusing on the business end I've never understood the people that agree to take part in tv programs n stuff seems mental to me.
AF i know nothing of hypnobirthing as my plan for this time is just - make it to the hosp in time! but there seem to be lots of informative positive reviews of the books n cds on amazon if that helps
oh i can't watch anything about labour now. i used to love it when i wasn't pregnant and the thought of a baby was a long way off, but now i get in such a state worrying about so i have thought it best to avoid.
i am looking into the hypnobirthing as i have read that the baby knows when to start your labour and then of course you body knows what to do. when you are in fear or scared you body produces adrenaline and that counteracts what the body is trying to naturally. this is why i want to try and be as calm and focused as possible (that's the idea anyway)

Any sign of a camera or other photo equiment near me at birth time and someone will die a horribly painful death
I hate having my picture taken at the best of times but that would just be the famous drop

Perhaps that's why you need to boil water when someone goes into labour...to drop any photographic or recording equipment into0 -

if anyone has been to their classes or read their book/listened to the cds ... do you have any thoughts??? i wouldn't do the classes but the book and the cd still appeals to me. just looking for some info from others that have done it.
I used the Cd last time & am listening to it again this time. If nothing else, it gives you a good chance to lie down & chill for 45 mins! I was certainly very relaxed up until getting into hospital with my last labour. In fairness, i was in transition on the way the hospital, and baby was born 45 mins later. Before I went in, I was so relaxed and chilled about the birth my OH was worried about me. I was cleaning, ironing, breathing, and with contractions at 3 mins apart instisted on having a bath, then trying to paint my toenails. He was the stressed one!
Might try to get in to hospital a little earlier this time, as I don't really want to have the baby in the car.
BTW- I put the cd onto itunes, & it is the only track on my shuffle, so i can easily listen to it in bed whenever I can't sleep. I found getting up & putting the cd player on woke my OH, and I kept dropping the portable cd player on the floor! It also fits easily in any bag, so I can listen to it on the tube, or in the antenatal clinic etc.0 -
AF: I think it will really work for you. I wasn't scared at all when I went into labour it all just sort of happened and I just seemed to know what to do (except for not taking my pants off when the MW wanted to see how dilated i was
)
Pickle: Try to book the scan for as late as possible - 10-11wks if you can, you'll get a much better piccy! it will actually look like a baby then0 -

i was going to try and work out a way to put the CD onto my mp3 so i could start listening to it earlier rather than later. just need to make myself 'buy' it.
second getting yourself to hospital (although i hate them) rather than having bubs in the car. even just for comfort sake

thanks sami... i am going to get myself sorted and make myself order it so i can get using it asap. once christmas and new year passes bubs will be here before i know it !!!!0 -
Hello I am just after some advice really
I found out im pregnant on saturday, im approx 4/5 weeks pregnant, i have also starting having bleeding, well its not like bright red blood, but more of a mix like the start of a peroid.. i would of been due on on sunday? i have been to the doctor and he said to wait untill about 6/8 weeks as will be able to see heartbeat on a scan. Ive read about Implantation bleeding, so thinking it could be this.
Or that it could just be like a normal period.
Really i know i have to wait untill the "safe" time, but i was just wondering if anyone had any idea? or advice? or has experianced this before?
Many thanks
