I'm just over 12 weeks by dates (but have a long cycle, so suspect a few days less). Have daing scan this weds and nuchal (private) on Thurs.

Every 2 weeks (6, 8, 10 and now 12) I spot. AND have pain. M/w not concerned. Happens on weekends, so scare myself silly I can't get hold of anyone. We don't have an early preg unit here.

Yesterday I lost a bloody piece of mucus then nothing. Today I woke up and had bright red spotting - heaviest so far, although not heavy. Lost morning sickness a week and a bit ago - all of a sudden. One day I was throwing up meals, the next perfectly fine. Can do trousers back up and even drink tea again. However, I have developed heartburn the last 2 days.

Am so scared this baby has died and scan will show a missed m/c on Weds. Am taking my toddler with me and hubs won't be there - job interview (redundancy) My mum is on hols somewhere exotic and no-one knows I'm pg. Have to pick up 2 big childen (10 & 8) from school an hour after scan. Hubs won't be home from interview for a few hours after that :-((

Hi there, as previous posts have said everything you have described can be pretty normal. I understand your worry though and would it be worth trying to get an early scan? otherwise is there not a close mouthed friend/relative you could confide in? you sound like you could do with a bit of moral support for when you go for your scan. I know its easy to say, but try to relax and think positively as what you fear has not happened. There are logical explanations for everything you have said. Take care and good luck xxx

Greent - I third what the others have said - call the midwife, doctor or hospital and explain that it's now bright red spotting and tell them about the mucus.
Try not to stress too much and rest today when you can.

GreenT I would def recommend phoning the labour ward, I had a scare in he week, I'm 27 weeks with a very active bump but it had stopped kicking for three days while I was abroad. I came back and phoned the labour ward as it was at night and they took me straight in and attached me to the doppler, everything was fine and they were absolutely lovely. Couldn't have been more helpful and did't make me feel like I was wasting their time. The m/w actually said she would rather Mums went in and put their mind at rest, than stress about it as that's not good for the baby.

If you don't want to go down this route, phone your GP in the morning and they should be able to arrange for you to have your scan tomorrow instead of Wednesday. I know this because I had an emergency scan at around this time too due to heaving bleeding. In the meantime just try to stay relaxed as worrying isn't going to help one bit.

I am due in 3 months and have heard about hypno birthing, there are classes near me but they cost £250 for 5 sessions!!!!!!! I can't afford this but my m/w said I could get a CD to listen to everyday. Does anyone have any experience of this or know of a good CD. They were talking about one on babychanneltv.com the other week but they didn't actually tell you what the CD was and I can't find it.

My closest hospital is Lewisham and I don't want to go there. A friend who also didn't want to go to Lewisham went to Kings College and that sounded quite awful too. I would really like to go to a midwife led unit so I will probably visit Woolwich or Guys and St Thomas (Guys and St Thomas might be too far from me though).

I know they say you can choose what hospital you want to give birth at but I am worried that there isn't really much choice (eg like schools, you can choose but the decent ones are all full and you can't get in).

Lewisham council run an early pregnancy information evening which is on on Wenesday evening. I think I will be going along with a lot of questions. Info is on their website if you are interested.

BTW, don't read anything about the various hospitals on netmums, it will give you nightmares so don't even go there.

thanks blotted just feel that those around me dont understand what the pain of this is like and i feel like im just being a burden on them all?? think its because im use to dealing with 4 kids, house, husband and dog myself and not use to having pople help me??

have been trying to do half hour stints so that i dont over do it and get sore. OH laughed last night as he went to visit his friend and when he come home there was another load of washing on and i had cleaned all the living room and hoovered at 10.30 lol! but i felt good and thought while the going is good get it done! thankfully MIL is taking kids today so it will just be me and OH, planning on going out for a while so will see how that goes lol! thanks for advice as im too scared to google things now and try to stay away from doing it:D hope you ladies all have a great day xx
