Robutissin, which is a decongestant, is the med which most of the fertility websites recommend to generate copious mucous. I can't understand why other decongestants as a matter of principle would dry out cm when they are designed to make nasal and chest mucous thinner, so I suspect that AnnieM may have got this the wrong way round!

Ahem. I did say I checked with NHS Direct. I didn't know if I should take Lemsip Max tablets or avoid them...

Regarding cough medicine and cm - according to Toni Weschler (Taking Charge of Your Fertility) it all depends on whether it's got antihistamines in or not. When you choose Robutissin or Benylin to help cm, you need to make sure you get the right one - you actually want the 'expectorant', not the antihistamine.

Here's an article about it, written by Toni Weschler

Obviously, the best thing to do if you have any questions about what is safe to take etc. is check with your doctor, or NHS Direct, rather than listen to any of us on here!

    Hi Lisa,

I never count myself as out until AF arrives as I was still getting BFN on the day before my AF was due with DD and then got a BFP the next day.

I guess if its a genuie BFN you can at least enjoy a few drinks over xmas. I'm still holding off buying any wine or soft cheese's just in caseicon7.gif.

    Hope everyone is feeling better.

For those in the "too tired to bd group", saw a turkey baster for 50p in wilkinson yesterday and was tempted to buy it for DH as a silly stocking filler just in case I have no energy next month (although still holding out for BFP).

Ha, ha! My Moh saw that baster in Wilkos and asked if we should get it for the babymaking! I might go back and get it to go in his stocking too:p !

Well I did a naughty early test yesterday and it was a BFN, but it was 5 days early so as you say, it's not all over yet. I still feel sicky today and have lower back pain, but I guess that could be AF. On holiday next week so really looking forward to the chance to just wind down. Life's been going at a crazy pace recently and I think we both need to just relax for a bit.

Fingers crossed for anyone still waiting, and heres to lots of Xmas/ New Year BFPs :T

    Hi everyone :)

I'm sad today. OH and I had a big row last night and I thought he was gong to break up with me and I got really upset and had a panic attack and scratched all my arms up :( I used to suffer really bad from depression/anxiety and had a lot of panic attacks but I haven't had one for ages and I haven't done the scratching thing for about 9 months. I know it's awful but I kept thinking but I so desperately want a baby and if he leaves me I can't have one and my heart felt like it was breaking :o He heard me crying anyway and came up and apologised and made me feel better but I'm still really down, it always takes me a while to get over a big row like that, luckily they don't happen often.

Can I ask your opinion and see if you think i'm being mental??

He's friends with this girl, we'll call her X (i'd like to call her something else mind ) He used to work with her and they text a bit and she's soooo flirty with him I hate it. Anyway when he first started at his old job I went out with him and his work mates loads, I even went on their xmas do and his team leader bought me an xmas present!! But as soon as he moved on to X's team I didn't get invited out anymore so needless to say i've been upset and we've had a few rows about it. Then on his last day at this job he was going out afterwards and asked me to go with him but X wasn't there. Then about 2 months ago she asked him to go meet them for dinner but I wasn't invited and then yesterday she asked them to go ice skating with them on Monday (I'm always asking him to go ice skating with me :( ) But again I wasn't invited so I got in a bit strop and said it was because he doesn't want me to meet X. It's the only thing in my strange little mind that makes any sense, i'm allowed to go when she's not there but i'm not when she is. He wonders why I get so paranoid :( So I said last night that either I go or he doesn't and this is when he said he was going to leave me. It scares me that he'd rather leave me than let me go out with them.

I know I sound like a total loser but I don't have many friends and hardly ever go out but all the times i've been out with his friends from work i've really enjoyed myself so I can't understand why i'm not allowed to go sometimes?? He goes out loads without me, playing football/poker/out with his brother etc.

Anyway sorry I know this isn't baby-making related but you're all so nice on here and I know if I posted it anywhere else it'd probably just get ignored :o
 Think happy & you'll be happy

    Hi Hayley

I'm still reading this thread even though I'm pregnant because I'm worried I'm miscarrying due to some bleeding and can't bear to read the pregnancy posts yet.

Anyway, I don't think your mental at all! I would be thinking exactly the same thing as you and would need reassurance from OH. Just think, when you are pregnant your emotions are all over the place, I cried last night for no reason at all. So I think you need to sort this out before you get pregnant because the stress then would do you no good at all. Your OH should realize this. I hope you manage to sort this out, I think you need to have a good sit down and chat with him.

    Love and hugs x
