Aww hope OHs ok! Go phone him back and cheer him up!
And I liked the dress you showed the other day the red one
Apart from bored and my bum being numb Im fine this evening and dont have anything exciting to tell Im very dull!0 -
Well, somebody pointed out that it wasn't very bridal, so now I'm thinking oh no, I've got to pick something less like a posh ball gown and more like a bride. Grrrr.
OK (slaps hand), going to try ringing him now.0 -
Have you looked on ebay for the hong kong sellers? Theres alot of ones like it that are stunning. I dont see how it isnt "bridal" skinny dresses like it are in just now and so are coloured dresses. I went to the wedding show in Feb and were going back in October and they had a fashion show and alot of the dresses were the same kind of fit. When you see "the one" youll just buy it anyway and who cares what anyone says lol bit like OHs as soon as you see the right one you stick with it no matter what other people say lol
Edit: Im so bored Ive lost the will to stay awake so Im going to bed Night night and hope your OH feels better and good luck on the dress hunt0 -
N-n Emmzy, sleep well, x0

Good morning ladies
Quiet a lot going on in the house of polkadot today so thought I'd pop on now and say hi.
Emmzy and MM...not getting enough sleep will also reak havok on TTC, and MM...if you like the dress then you should wear it. I'm making my own dress...an A-line skirt in Salmon pink Satin overlayed with two layers of embroidered organza (one a yellow gold and one a burgandy like colour) with a princess bodice in salmon pink satin. Spent £40 on material and the pattern. See here's our plan...because of the decision to have baby first...I've been planning something "for if we get round to it". But I'm lucky in that I'm a cake deccy so will make my own cake as well as the dress...and for the rest we've opted for a "mad hatters tea party" theme and I've been getting all my stuff in charity shops and off freecycle. I'm concentrating on the crockery etc at the moment, which is so much fun because I'm picking up the most lovely bits of random stuff-the other day I got a punch bowl with 12 glasses hanging off the side of it for £5...and of course if we dont get round to it we can just use all the crockery to throw a picnic lunch in our garden for all our friends and family to introduce bub and announce our "betrothal".
As for all the talk of diets and losing weight. It's all good and well to limit your calorie intake so that it matches your energy consumption...because as was said, if you take in more than you put out you do store. But at the same time, if you start to take in less calories than your energy consumption needs-your body will start to store what it does get because it thinks it wont be getting anymore (iyswim) so that will have the same effect over the long run as too many calories.
My NHS surgery does something called fit club once a week-really like weigh less in that you go along and they give you your eating guidelines and weigh you and you get groups and all that, but we also have an hour aerobics session and get one swim voucher and one gym voucher every week. It costs £3 a week which is do-able and you'd be paying about £1.50 more for a swim session on its own where I am so it's really great. I dont weigh in lbs so couldnt tell you what I am, but I've managed to get down to 90kgs(which I think is about 14 stone) and I've maintained it with all the stress and all from the m/c and house move etc.
Another thing I've been doing (which is good for weight loss and TTC), I stopped taking pregnacare and replaced it with folic acid on its own and then I added sea kelp tabs and wheat germ oil tabs. They both aid digestion so you take them around the same time as your meal (I take mine in the evening). The wheat germ oil has all kinds of wonderful things that boost lady hormones (including sex drive;))
Anyway, I think I've nattered enough for now-off to get my day going so I will "see you all later"0 -

I too had a few *ahem* times in my past where I didnt use protection and didnt get pregnant so I too thought that I mustnt be able to have children/get pregnant easily (otherwise I thought I would have by now)
But I got my BFP this month, so turns out I was wrong, and hopefully you are too

Morning all
well cd 13 for me got one and only smiley on cb ov kit yesterday and TMI couldn't bd until this morning so I'm worried I've thrown this month away. Will also try and bd tonigt in case it helps... Anything to make the upcoming 2ww more hopeful.
Thinking of buying some cheapies for my cb holder, can anyone recommend any goodies?
Off to work in a bit ... To think about ttc for a change ;-)
hope everyone is ok x0 -
clarity, don't worry that you missed it. The egg is released at ovulation but doesn't just self-destruct if there's no sperm to meet it! Bd tonight too and perhaps tomorrow if you can manage it - if you got your surge yesterday morning it might not be until tonight that you actually ov. This is not a precise science, you have to cover your bases!
Anyway, CD16 here, no sign of ov, but if my lurgy pushed it back I think I'm looking at this weekend for the main event... anyway, best go do some work!
stickybabydust to you all xxNever argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.0 -
Thanks bitzer, I am being so over analytical, I can't remember the time when this wasn't on my mind constantly and it hasn't even been that long.
Have weightwatchers tonight so it will be interesting if I do manage to fall pg how weight loss continues. I got to quite a large weight an have got four stone I'd like to lose and apparently as long as yo eat the recommended calories and keep active during pg some weight can still trickle off. Not that I will worry in the slightest about weight loss once I am pg.
