Ok Im freaking out now... does any one have any more info on the veggie bit? Iv been a veggie since I was 11 and that post kinda just scared me!
Hiya, sorry meant to post the link to it, not the article
It's from the Daily Mail, they (or someone on behalf) did some research. And as becs says, it may or may not - you know what "science" is like - they always have "breakthroughs" that they backtrack on later down the line!
Sorry to have scared you
I've been veggie for about 4 years.0 -
*throws out all the quorn sh*te* I dont really like it anyway OH complains about eating too many vegetables cos I wont cook meat for him tough... I saw a thing about a detox giving you a fertility boost anyway and I tried talking him into it but he said no ... but he cant cook so he has to eat what hes given or its a potnoodle for him lol think Ill try that maybe next month.0

What about fish Emmzy? Do you eat fish or are you a real vegetarian? Fish is supposed to be very good for trying to conceive and oily fish in pg is good for brainy babies!0

Quorn is mycoprotein - from mushrooms. I love Quorn! I hate tofu though :lipsrseal Lol to OH - I'm the same, if you want to eat and don't want to make it yourself, you'll have what's given0 -
nope didnt eat fish even before i was veggy *bokes* I know its not the same but i take the veggy replacement multivitamin things0

yup i agree tofu is vile! I much prefer to cook myself instead of buying stuff like that but like i said OH complains, lentils make a very good replacement for soya products like in lasange instead of soy mince even OH loves my lasagne altho I try and not eat too much cheese all this healthy dieting is confusing!0

I think of you have a varied diet there's no reason why it should make that much difference. I'm sure I can say as a non veggie that my diet could use some more variety and be healthier in terms of fruit and veg. I am now doing th GI diet though which is helping on the fruit intake for sure! Never been a fruit person though, just don't get it. It's not really sweet or savoury! Anyhow love my veg so will definately be getting my 5 a day with the fruit!0

oooh no I love fruit! We replaced puddings with a fruit salad every night now with him having a teaspoon of honey for extra sweetness because he doesnt really like it much either. I dont do diets but I try to eat healthy but my jeans are slightly tight so Im obviosuly no good at it lol0

I don't do diets either Emmzy but do need to lose an awful lot of weight due to this tumour. I'm doing the GI because it's just normal healthy eating but it works out my recommended calorie intake and portion sizes into the meal plan. I've found that I'm actually eating more than I was before but pretty much the same kinds of meals, just being very strict with myself and not having any treats such as odd biscuit at work etc.0

Apparently I got weighed at the doctors 7 weeks ago and I was just over 18st and now im nearer 20 and have made so many changes to fix it but its not working so I need to lose a fair amount as well, altho I dont have the additional problems of your tumour. I cant understand my weight at all tho because I eat only 3 healthy, home made meals a day and my fruit salad at night(not allowed to eat after 9 oclock tho because it sits in your stomach all night) Once a week I get a wee cake out of greggs, no chocolate( that has been the hardest thing Iv ever had to do!!!) no crisps and I already said Im veggie anyway so getting my fruit and veg is alot easier.I convinced my wee brother to loan me his wii until the wedding so hopefully the extra exercise will help me. Ever since I stopped working I piled it on its horrible!0
