I got this one. No one knows what it is for, so no questions. If I got one with 'Baby' on it, I think it would be rather apparent that we are trying for one!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

You might be testing a bit late in the day - fertilityplus.org recommends 2pm, but does say between noon and 8pm is fine...
Thanks - yep, NHS Direct said I can use the Vaporub stuff

Hi Annie,
Followed your suggested an did OKP earier and got a +OKP so now just have to find the energy to continue with the SMEP - at least I can now look forward to next week when I'll be too busy catching up on sleep to worry about 2ww.
Not long left you now on the 2ww, hope everything's going ok.

Following my first ERPC I was told that it was common to be more fertile than usual so I carried on TTC and fell pg approx 3 weeks following the op with my DS but I've never used temping to track my cycle so I've no idea about that one.
I know a lot of people who temp as a way to track OV but I've never managed to get a very accurate picture of my own cycle this way so hat's off to those who do manage it
Thanks & thanks to Hedgehog.
I also heard about the more fertile thing hence kept temping and ttc since bleeding stopped from ERPC, but no ov means no fertility, boo!
Ever hopeful that will ov in a few weeks now (it happened on about CD18 for Sept cycle, first cycle I tempted so I will continue to do it this month because I got the shift with that ov, I imagine everytime I ov I will get it). This month wasn't mean to be- I think AF would be due about the week of Xmas so if I ov in Dec, then that will be end of 2ww and I may or may not be able to have a drink.....0 -
Ooo. i want a Terramundi now! I might add it to my Christmas list (along with with a a WII and a BFP on a pregnancy test)0

I would love a terramundi too but think that my £10 budget will not stretch to one! Oh well.
My OH is still having trouble bding at the moment, i think he is too worried about money, but my work has improved and should be sorting out a retainer tonight or tomorrow, so that should help him relax a little. I am not worrying too much yet because he said he really wanted a baby next October, so christmas or jan and he better sort his head out for then!
Oh well, lets see if we can have some fun over the next couple of weeks?

Best of luck for your SMEP-ing! I did find it exhausting, but I am SO hoping it's paid off! I am feeling a bit better today, but am very tired. Just not sure I feel pgI don't know what else we could have done this month, though, if not, so at least our trip to the docs would be a true last resort...
Hope everyone's ok.

Hi everyone. Well I am officially obsessed with this thread, I am on here catching up first thing when I get up and first thing when I get home from work!! Help!! lol
Well AF arrived properly this morning, only really spotting yesterday, so counting today as CD 1. I have updated mymonthlycycles.com so am raring to go for another month now. I have noticed that my AF is a lot brighter red than when I was on the pill.
Can anyone help with my options for calculating when I ovulate, as I was planning on just working out when the 14th CD was and assuming its around then, but that doesnt seem a good idea now my cycle length is unclear. So, aside from taking my temperature each morning which I am still tempted to do, is there something else I can do quite easily? I am a bit confused by all the tests. I thought I read somewhere about ovulation sticks, are these similar to home pg tests where you can just try them on any day and they will tell you if you are ovulating? Or have I got totally the wrong end of the stick (pardon the pun :rotfl:).
AnnieM - Good luck, hope you are pg, I did read that some women do not get any pg symptoms so fingers crossed!!
Hayley11 - My pg tests havent arrived yet either, I will let you know when they do. I had a dispatch email but no sign yet.
Thanks in advance.Baby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0 -

Ovulation sticks are basically the same as pg sticks, just measure different hormone(?), and positive is not when you get any line, but when the test line is darker/stronger than the control line(the one that is always there!). It is not complicated, really. You can try to check your cm daily, but that it is too complicated to me!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Thanks!
As for working out when you ov, I went through my diary and counted back 14 days from each af, marking that day (that's how I know we definitely missed ov some cycles). You can record it in mymonthlycycles as a Marker/Appointment - there's not a specific one for it on the free version, but I just 'fudge' it, and check the 'cycle dashboard' or ov calculator for an estimate for when it will happen next.
The ov stick info sheet should tell you what day to start testing, based on your average cycle length - you just dip 'em in your pee sample and wait for a line that's as dark or darker than the control line (just like a pg test). The only thing you have to do differently is not drink for 4 hours before testing, and test between 12pm and 8pm (2pm is apparently best).
You may find when you use the ov sticks that your positive result is less or more than 14 days before af - apparently:A "defective luteal phase" is when the length of time during which progesterone is produced (ie between ovulation and menstruation beginning) is insufficient to allow a fertilised egg to implant as the lining has begun to disintegrate. The length of the luteal phase can be observed by using Natural Fertility Management; ideally it should be longer than about 10 days.
Hope this info is of use to you (or anyone else!)
