    Hi everyone,

Am miserable today - tired and feel like I'm getting 'flu. I've been in a crabby mood all day, really.

I feel old, despite being only just in my 30s, and also not pg. I can't even bring myself to hope that the SMEP has worked - it's just depressing me. I just can't seem to imagine myself with a baby growing and a bump

Sorry for being a misery-guts. I'm just very keenly aware that we have given ourselves this last cycle to manage to get pg without assistance, and then it'll be off to the docs for tests/referrals etc. It's probably the 2ww blues, the weather and the fact that I'm coming down with something.

I may give the last night of bd a miss if I still feel yucky later... Although if I don't get a bfp then I'll always wonder if I missed a chance... Any SMEP updates from anyone else?

    Hi Annie,

Hope your feeling better. I'm still bding every other day waiting for +opk, starting to think I'm not going to get +opk this month as I only get a faint line come up.

Is it wrong to be too tired for bding, missed Saturday as was tired after ds 7th birthday party and am now shattered from work so all I want to do is sleep (tempted to tell dh to just go for it while I have a nap icon12.gif).

    Good luck on your 2ww.

  • I am tres confused now-so far since ERPC/D&C on 28th Oct I have been temping and have had no shift yet, however temps have been a bit erratic (not sure if thermometer is a bit wonky? or need a battery?) but last night had spotting and this morning have red bleeding and crampy-so far not as much as an AF, but as I understood it there cannot be AF unless you ov (and unless you are on the pill when it is not a true AF). Anyone had something similar after a ERPC? I have no clue (looked in TCOYF and you can ov and your body just doesn't react to the progesterone, but my temp shifted when I ov'd before??)

I thought you can have AF even if you didn't ov as your body still need to release the womb lining that builds up (it just doesn't include an egg). Could be completely wrong though.

    Hello Ruth,

I was right about the cold/'flu thing (am tucked up under a blanket with soothing hot drinks today, feeling sorry for myself - but only taking paracetamol - I rang NHS Direct and they said not to take decongestant in case I am pg - I really better had be now!)

When have you been doing your OKPs? I found I get better results testing at 1pm, after not drinking anything from 8:30am, than if I tested at say 4pm.

As for the feeling too tired to bd - I'm glad it's not just me! :rotfl: We missed last night cos I felt too ill, but Saturday night I joked with OH that I was tempted to just let him do his bit while I slept and to make sure he didn't wake me! Turkey basters were mentioned... :rotfl: I feel miffed that we didn't finish off the whole SMEP, but I'm hoping that the 4 nights in a row and 1 night a couple of days before that will have done the trick!

    Good luck to you too!

I'm doing the OKPs when I get in from working after not drinking anything from 3pm, so take the test around 7pm - I tried doing this in the morning but I don't function without at least 3 mugs of tea in the morning. My temp still down so definatley haven't ov yet though.

Haven't considered the turkey baster yet but if I don't get a +okp soon will be going that route as don't have energy to keep going every other night until day 30ish. icon10.gif

DH away at the start of next week so you can guarantee I'll get my +OKP then.

I always like the way we're made to give up every painkiller going while ttc and pg and then given the choice of the real strong ones for labour to make up for it. Are you allowed to use VICs as a decongestion as it won't go into your blood stream?

    Hope the cold/flu goes soon.

You might be testing a bit late in the day - fertilityplus.org recommends 2pm, but does say between noon and 8pm is fine...

I'll try putting off my morning tea's tomorrow and testing after lunch to see if I have any better luck. I've already paid everyone this month so it should be ok for me not to be fully function until the afternoon:rolleyes:.

This is actually quite a good FAQ section on OPKs, and has info on how to deal with several 'faint line days':

Hi all, I've had a bit of a stressfull day today, OH crashed his car on some ice this morning, spun it into a wall and wrote it off, He's really shaken and we've had him looked over and bar a bit of whiplash he's fine. I really wanted to work from home this afternoon and be with him but my b1tch of a boss has forced me to come into the office even though there was nothing i couldn't have done from home.

I'm really annoyed to be honest as it's one rule for her and one for me, she swans off to get her Hair coloured in work time and i can't even work from home after my hubby has been in an accident....ridiculous...

But anyway....I'm on day 6 of a 26 days cycle and looking forward to cheering up OH with some BD'ing....that should hopefully put a smile back on both our faces!

Hope you're all gettting on OK...
