Got it spend it - I 'm thinkng that if its bargain why not get it and put it away no harm and i have been getting bits for my friend who is pregnant and i suppose when i do have a baby you will never have enough stuff.

I want a baby123- Icant read the pregnancy board its so upsetting it gets me down so much!!! I just realised that sounds really awful but you know what i mean:o

Fatty boo boo- Fabulous name!!!!Im on my second month of being off the pill but am already letting TTC take over my brain it seems to be all i think about now!!!

I got some ov tests off e bay think i got 20 for £2 and there great come with all the info and everthing am now on my 2ww and dying to test but know its to early and prob would just say negative whether im pg or not am due on on dec 1 st so am counting down now.

  • Becs - thanks for that link, i'll definitely be having a look at that :D

Annie - Once i've been trying for a while, i'll be right there with you :) I think if it was just down to me, i'd be all for it, I really want a baby now but becasue my OH doesn't seem to be quite so excited or eager as I am I don't want to push him. It was his suggestion to start trying so I know he definitely wants one but you know what men are like  Thanks for the tip on the ov sticks, I was just looking at SME Fertility but never heard of it so wasn't sure it was trustworthy.

Lisabell - I feel for you, a miscarriage must be awful to go through. I think a lot of people would be jealous to some degree even if they don't admit it so don't be too hard on yourself :) ((big hugs))
  • Well I have just been looking for cheap pg tests on access diagnostics website as I am going to order some in ready this time so I dont keep spending £10 a time!! Anyway, i think i have found the ones people talk about on here, they are called Advanced HCG Ultra Home Pregnancy Tests. On the AD website they are £5.99 for 5 delivered, or £9.99 for 10 delivered. However I then saw they have a sister website called www.valuemed.co.uk so I looked on here and what I am sure is the same product is only £6.25 for 10 delivered here. Does anyone mind just having a look for me and check I am not being a dur and that these are the right thing.

Oh no, now I am even more confused , I did a quick search on ebay and found these even cheaper. I think I remember people on here talking about getting ones on ebay. I dont know know which to buy now!! I dont want to go and doubt them for being cheap and end up buying a dearer one each month anyhow :rotfl: not very mse!! Lol!!

    Any help much appreciated!!

  • Yeah i'd be confused as well :rotfl:

They all look just the same to me, bit weird two sister sites having the same product at different prices  I think if the strips are what you're after i'd go with the ebay ones, they've got really good feedback and if they are naff you've only lost £3.79. Hopefully somebody who has tried them will come along and let you know what they thought. Maybe ask on the pregnancy thread too?

Once i've used these tests up, I think i'll order some of them off ebay. Hopefully i'll only use them for BFP so wont need anymore but we'll see
  • Do you all tend to do lots of pregnancy tests? I was thinking i'd wait til I was a couple of days late then do one, if that's a BFN i'll wait a few days and do the other one, if that's a BFN and I still haven't had my AF, i'll go see the doctor. Am I being very naive here? Am I going to be doing loads of tests? Might stock up as well if I probably will end up doing loads :D

EDIT: I just realised i'm a bit thick, some of you have probably been trying for months and obviously if you're cycle isn't regular then you'll probably be doing tests most months :o Doh sorry I type before I think sometimes :rotfl:

Well I have managed to use 3 tests so far, lol, so I can see myself getting through quite a few if it takes us a while to fall pg.

I waited until I was almost 2 days late for my period (although this was based on a 28 day cycle and as you know I dont know my proper cycle yet). In future I am going to try and wait at least until my period is late so that I am not testing all the time. Although I can imagine myself getting impatient and testing a bit earlier especially with these cheapo tests!! Im gonna try really hard not too though :o

Ive decided to order these off ebay now, only cos they are the same price as the others but say Ultra Early instead of just Early, hehe it prob makes no difference but thought i might as well go for them. I'll let you know what they are like.

I have some cheap tests from Access Diagnostics for 'am I/could I be?' days, and 2 super-expensive Clearblue Digital tests with conception indicator, for when (note, that's WHEN, not IF!) I get a positive on a cheap test.

It's very difficult not to test when you have a month where you think you could be pg, but since I started doing the OPKs I am less anxious to test early anyway, as I know that my wondering will be answered on a particular day - basically, if af doesn't then arrive, I will start testing then. It gets to be quite a compulsion, this POAS thing - especially if you're like me and get negatives for months and months
  • Ha after reading your post I am now v tempted to get a thermometer and fertility diary, what am I like!! I like the idea of being a bit more precise about when I ovulate, especially if my cycle is not going to be very regular. Does it say how often you have to take your temp and what time?

£10 for 2 digital tests does seem v good as the Clear Blue test I got in Somerfield was just over £10 for one test, it did have a conception indicator too, not that that was any use to me, lol!!

I dont understand the whole pill thing either, I just made the mistake of googling it and some peeps are saying their AF came from anywhere between 5 weeks and even 2 months  Mine had better not take that long!!

I've been off the pill 7 months and no period
After spending many months kidding myself I was pregnant...I went to the Dr's! My advice would be to go if you get to 3 months and heckle them into doing blood tests - wish I hadn't left it so bloody late now as after speaking to a gyno family friend I'm told there's plenty they can do to make it restart and get your ovulating again!
  • POAS - peeing on a stick? Love all these abbr :D

I can imagine it does get to be an obsession you know, I am a very impatient person and me saying i'm not going to test early or lots is like I said being very naive. I've only ever had one scare before and my body was so cruel to me that month :( I was over 24 hours late, which for me was a big thing because like I said I am SO regular, I had some bleeding about a week before my AF was due, which I have never had in my whole life, I was feeling so sick but not actually being sick. At the time I didn't actually want to be pregnant so it was quite scary!

Think that might be a bit of marketing magic going on there fattybooboo but hey you never know :D

Do you know what's really nice and I might be being weird here but I love that i'm talking to you all and i'm so excited about us getting pregnant together :D I know some of us will take longer than others but it's nice having people in the same boat to talk to :)
