Trying For a Baby II

Hi everyone and welcome to all you newbies :hello:

I haven't been in for a few days and I can't believe how mad this thread has got! Its lovely having lots to read though.

Congrats to all the BFPs since I last posted :T

That sperm meets egg plan sounds good. My DH is keen on trying every night so maybe we will give that a go because every night hasn't worked so far! Will wait for AF to show her face then start counting!

Hey girls
Congrats to all the BFPs.

I have a question for girls who have had a m/c (again! Sorry!) I am now on CD 37 taking first day of the m/c as day one and no sign of AF.

Should I test? My cycle is usually 34 days although obviously my hormones will be out of whack. When does AF usually come back?

We have been BDing so it's possible I could be PG but I don;t want to test if it is way too early.

Any advice?

Did you normally have a shortish cycle or was that unusual for you? I don;t want to get my hopes up too much but I so want to have a baby! And as I was made redundant it would be lovely to just look forward to having a baby and not have to jobhunt for a career job but just get something small until the birth.

I'm scared of testing and getting a BFN. I don;t have any Pg symptoms like last time - but I don;t feel due on either. Slightly sore boobs is all and that could be either.

Am daring to think maybe I am PG now...

Ok, bear with me as I have had to look back in old diaries for this info.

I had a d&c for my first mc on Aug 6th 04. I had dirty discharge until Aug 23rd. Was clear until Sept 10th when AF arrived. So from d&c to AF was 33 days.

With second mc I had d&c on 6 April 06. Had dirty stuff until 17th then got AF May 16th. D&C to AF 31 days.


The last few months I have been properly recording cycles lengths and I vary between 27 and 38 days with 30 days being the norm.

Maybe leave it a couple more days to be sure AF isn't coming then test?

THanks for looking that up for me Shelley. I think maybe I should leave it for another week, in case AF is just late. I didn;t get a positive test last time till five weeks so I might not show positive even if I am now, and I don;t think I could cope with seeing a BFN.

I got my first AF 33 days after my mc, which was the longer side of normal for me as my cycle varies from 28-35 days, but it's more normal for it to be 29-31, iyswim. I also had all my pregnancy symptoms, even though I knew pregnancy wasn't really possible as we hadn't bd'd properly. I have them back again this month, but I can't read too much into them after last month, especially as my hormones are still all over the place.

I think I may be jumping the gun a bit. I'm not really that far over my normal cycle, so I'm definitely going to wait a bit longer, especially as I have no PG symptoms really.
Maybe I am, maybe I'm not, but I think my hormones could just be settling down.
It's just that my skin is spotty and I am craving chilli flakes on my food, just like when I was PG, but I think it is best not to read too much into that.

I normally have 28 day cycles. Best not to get your hopes up, so yeah give it a few days. (if you can!!!)
