Trying For a Baby II

Hi All! Hello to our newbies!

I'm a bit confused today, as I seem to be having some spotting, which isn't really something I usually get several days before AF.

I'm not sure how long my cycle should be this month as has a chem pg last month, and I never got a proper positive on my OPK this month - just a bit-darker-than-faint line on 26th Oct, so I'm not sure if I just caught lh surge on the way down that afternoon (info for the new peeps who may not have read so far back).

Now by my calculations if I did OV on 26th, AF would be due Sat if I had a 14 day luteal phase this month. I have a horrible feeling my cycle is just messed up after last month, but I can't help wondering if I should try one of the Access Diagnostics cheapie tests tomorrow just in case, even though we only bd'd once this month (but possibly on the 'right day'). I know it will probably be negative, but I think I might have to just see...

On the plus side of this week, I have a relative who has offered to do me some fertility reflexology. Has anyone tried this? She says she's had 2 sucesses out of 2 'patients' already!

Please don't take this the wrong way but I wouldn't start another thread about TTC.
We have been lucky to keep the 2 current threads we have so any more started could get them all locked/deleted etc or a new one would most likely just be merged with this one.

Hi all
Have been reading this thread constantly for the last 2 months whilst waiting to start TTC (wanted to wait until we were on hols to start trying). We are now TTC have been for 3 weeks now so thought it was about time i said hi and joined the TTC family.
There have been so many BFP the last few weeks congratulations to all them and to all them that have m/c am so sorry for your losses.
So please forgive me if i ask random and stupid questions!!!! first time TTC !!!:o

HI Lisabell, lots of newbies coming on at the moment, me inlcuded!

I actually had a question for all you experienced TTC'ers, slightly gross so I apologise now....last month i came off the pill a few days into my packet and around the time (datewise) I should have been ovulating i had a "glob" of CM, so I assumed that was the egg white stuff people refer too, This month (our first month of trying but not trying:rolleyes: ) i haven't had anything? Does that mean i haven't ovulated? Does it mean i missed it but it was there? Am i just a freak?

sorry...reading that back it's really disgusting but i don't know who else to ask? It not the kind of question you ask your firends in the pub or over dinner is it???:rotfl:

I'm new to all this too, but reading through some of the previous posts, it sounds as though you ovulated last month but not this month. It's apparently common for women to sometimes not ovulate for a month so I shouldn't worry too much about it. As you've only come off the pill fairly recently, it will probably take your body a little while to get back to normal.

Oh, and I wouldn't worry too much about sounding "gross" either, we're all in the same boat here!!!

Do you mean you took a couple of pills and then stopped the packet and then got the 'glob' or do you mean approx 2 weeks following taking your last pill you got the glob?!
Do you know how long your cycle is (i.e. what was it before you went on the pill?)
When you stop the pill it can take a while for your body to get regular again - assuming you have a 28 days cycle you should OV around day 14 but not everyone has a 28 day cycle.
Basically go by the first day of your last period and then you should have some sort of 'glob' around days 14-19 as a rough guide

If you haven't got much CM at the mo chances are your not OVing now but the amount varies from person to person - chances are if you haven't noticed any CM since last period yet you haven't OV'd yet.

Thanks for all your replies, I came off the pill 2 days into the packet and the "glob" was around my day 14 so i assumed it was the stuff i was looking for! but then i came on my period about 10 days later....

I've always been regular as clockwork before the pill and also if i've ever had a break from the pill, my cycles go back to normal straight away, i think i possibly have a shorter cycle than most people though, i'll know exactly how long after this month but I'm sure it used be around 24-26 days. Will my shorter cycle cause any problems? My period usually last about a week as well so i only eve seem to have about 2 1/2 weeks in between them! It's feels like i'm always having a period!:rolleyes:

I'll also be gutted if i haven't ovulated this month as we've been boinking away and part of me is really wishing we could crack it first time.... (i KNOW this is unrealistic )
