No you just have more chances per year to get pg
On the first day of your period you will have oved approx 14 days previously so for you on say 26 day cycle you would be oving approx day 11-12 follwing the first day of your period.
It's worth pointing out that 'globs' differ - if your glob is progesterone based (i.e. white thick etc...) it usually means you have already oved but if it is clear, stretchy, in vast supply etc... this is generally the stuff you are looking out for!

Ah this is really useful!! Thankyou...though now i'm not sure what I had last month ...oh, guess i'll just keep an eye out "downstairs", according to my dates i'm on day 14, which may mean i've missed the boat, but I'll see If i can hold back my cold and try and be sexy enough for a last minute BD tonight!

(I don't think i appreicated how much of a minefield this babymaking business is!)

Well hi guys, i see lots more newbies have come to join all the fun! I haven't tested as AF arrived today, nice and quietly! Another month on the exact same cycle so all good for keeping me regular.

Well, really!

I go away for 24 hours and come back to find the thread has gone glob-crazy! :rotfl:

I prefer glob to ewcm, which always makes me think 'Euw! Cervical Mucus!'

Nice to see so many new people in here - I'm sure you'll all be happily discussing your globs with the rest of us very soon!

Seriously, though, this thread is really friendly, and everyone gives advice and support to everyone else here on the TTC rollercoaster.

Hi All,

Newbie to TTC too, wanted to pop in and say hi :hello: and hopefully gain some advice! Been TTC since Aug so not long, been taking Pregnacare and using the ovulation tests but no luck so far. Am considering trying pre seed and the cough medicine next month though. Anyone had any joy using these methods?

I am keen to use the cough medicine method as I usually have (sorry about this) lots of discharge (all checked out as normal by GP) and am worried this is getting in the way of the swimmers of reaching their goal, is my thinking correct? As I read the cough medicine method looses all bodily mucus!

Hi all im another newbie, can someone give me a bit of advice please
My last cycle started on around the 17/18th oct (cant really remember ) so AF is due sometime next week i think, last night though (TMI WARNING) when i went to the loo i had a very slight spotting which was only there when i wiped then had nothing since, could this be implantation spotting as ive never had any spotting between periods

boosas, I would imagine that lots of discharge is helpful, as that's what the swimmers swim up isn't it? So hopefully, it's good news in this respect.

Has anyone tried ovulation sticks?

I conceived my last DS this way after trying for a while, the egg white stuff is also a good indicator (apparently).

thanks for the replies, i was never sure you see and thought the swimmers might not make it so its very reassuring to know it might in fact even help them! hate the wait, praying me being ill with hacking cough and stinky cold hasnt affect my chances in any way.

Just a quickie.. I went to do the last remaining AD test this morning, only to find the packet was empty!! There was the sachet of drying gel stuff in there, but no test!! :eek:
