hi all, not sure if this is the right place for this but this is all i could find.
i cannot have children naturally, i need to have ivf and i am wondering if there is anyone here that can tell me what to expect. apparently you get the first one free via nhs (postcode lottery im told). me and oh are going to put names down as there is a waiting list, i would like to know what it entails.
is the process painfull? (im a wimp) i have heard many things and would really appreciate any advice from anyone that has actually been through this process. maybe in pm? we are both curious and the leaflets are nothing like personal experiences.
any help really appreciated thankyou and good luck to everybody xx

The 12 month + thread will probably be more useful.

    Hi Lady_A

It's not really the right thread I'm afraid, we're all on here as relative newcomers TTC so no one as far as IVF. There is another thread TTC 12months/not straightforward which has lots of women on there with IVF knowledge. Good Luck.

    Hi all..

As promised, I've just done another AD 25 test and the positive line is barely barely there, like it's so feint I could well be imagining it.

I think I have one left which I'm going to do in the morning - along with a Boots own that I have from last time, just to check that the CBD from the other day was actually right! :(

thanks for the post rose7. i shall def keep an eye out for those trying in the new year, perhaps we should start up our own thread nearer the time? failing that, i may just add you and mancbird in my buddy list!

just think ladies were already on the 6th November. i have alot going on at home what with my recent move so perhaps it will go quick?

there does seem to be alot of bad luck around. OH needs a wisdom tooth out next month and because its so twisted under his gum he has to see a specialist.. thats going to be a couple of 100. OH also had his car smashed into while moving last weekend. been told that will cost us 300:eek: i hate that car sometimes.

we suffered with fraud last month.. smoeone took 500 pounds out of our account which we have since got back. were also waiting for a cheque for 430 which is a refund. that was due after about three weeks and its now been 5, still chasing. THEN my card was cancelled for no reason and halifax still cant tell me why that happened. my newest card is now issue card number 15, and weve only had this account 4 years! 15 cards in 4 years isnt good!!!

good news though, i did find 50p on the way to work yesterday:T im putting it in the baby fund pot tonight!:money:

hope your all having a good day! xxx

djdymond, can't he get this done on the NHS? I had to have 3 of my wisdom teeth out a couple of years ago because they were growing in sideways and pushing the rest of my teeth forward. Because it wasn't a straightforward extraction (I had to have a GA) I was referred to the dental hospital and it was all done free of charge. Maybe it's worth asking about? Hope it all goes well for your OH, I looked like a chipmunk after my op

I'm not having a great day either - I have the virus that seems to be going round and feel absolutely dreadful, my boiler has packed up and can't be fixed until next week as I'm going away and 10 minutes ago I heard a huge crash in the kitchen and went in there to see my kitten had somehow managed to get on the shelves and knock off a ceramic mixing bowl. Grrr! It's the second bowl she has managed to break in a week so I am not happy!

AF still hasn't arrived but I did a test this morning and got a BFN so that has added to my bad mood. I feel quite grotty today so I'm sure I'm going to come on :( Think I'm going to go back to bed and watch a dvd.

I've got the same virus i think mancbird! I'm feeling rotten and have just come home from work, so even thought i'm sure we should there'll be no BD'ing tonight, I don't think i'm at my most seductive and appealing while i'm snotty and sweaty!!!

One of mine is growing sidewise and is half-covered by gum, that sometimes gets inflated, and my dentist just said -oh well, it is ok, don't need to do anything - it is not causing much problem for you, so we will leave it!!!!! I am changing my dentist now, so maybe will get a more reasonable one!
