Trying For a Baby II

Morning all,
Well after a week of feeling that maybe this month was our month and not really have many symptoms to spot, I took the plunge this morning and did a test and guess what .............. I got my first ever BFP:D. We're trying not to get too excited as it is still only very early days but we're both chuffed. I'm going to do another test tomorrow to be sure - my OH has already had a lesson on the very low chances of a false positive. But fingers crossed that this is a sticky bean for us.
This was our 6th cycle of ttc and the only thing that we did differently this month was to try and follow the SMEP (sperm meets egg plan). I didn't use OPKs so had to guess a bit at when my most fertile three days were but it gave me something to focus on.vickyjayne wrote: »Hi all im another newbie, can someone give me a bit of advice please
My last cycle started on around the 17/18th oct (cant really remember) so AF is due sometime next week i think, last night though (TMI WARNING) when i went to the loo i had a very slight spotting which was only there when i wiped then had nothing since, could this be implantation spotting as ive never had any spotting between periods
Vickyjayne - I'm a week ahead of you in my cycle and last week about 7dpo I had spotting - bright red blood once followed by a couple of days of very light pink spotting, then nothing. It was a very good sign for me.
Thanks to everyone on this thread for being so supportive, friendly and informative.
Babydust to you all.

Wait until you are late, that's always my advice. Why *possibly* waste a test?
I have never seen the point of testing until I am at least a few days late.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi Vickyjayne, I waited until I was officially at least 1 day which was cd29 for me (my cycles ranged from 23-28 days) so I waited as long as I could until testing. In previous cycles I tested earlier and obviously got BFNs, which after a while gets you down, somehow I found it easier to deal with AF arriving rather than testing early getting my hopes up for 3 minutes, and then getting a BFN.
Good luck when you test.0 -
will wait until next friday as i worked out AF is due wednesday so should be right result then:T started comping 2009:T0

Congrats Martha! Can you give a little info about the SMEP please?
The link that HypnoNu posted is the one that I used after reading about it on another ttc site. As I said in my previous post I didn't use the OPKs tests, I just guessed, based on pervioud months, when I was most fertile. I don't know whether the plan made a difference or whether we were just lucky and it was our month.0 -
The SMEP plan sounds quite good might give it a go if in a few months we aint had any luck.I must say i never knew that TTC would be so hard, it was easy when on holiday we had pleanty of us time but at home the TTC aint going so well its so hard fitting in the time to do the deed and im finding it hard think TTC has taken over my brain and its all im thinking about.
Is anyone else the same?? or am i just turning into a baby loon!!!!:oDMP No-- 164
Our wonderful baby 'pip' miscarried at 6 weeks:(0 -
I agree lisabell, its taken my whole brain over! I went to the GP and she just told me coz I'm still quite young (30) and haven't been trying long (since Aug), I should just give it time and enjoy it, she said its more important to enjoy it than make it a chore..
I know I'm being so impatient, my hubby asked me what I wanted for Xmas, and I said just a mini you and it made me sad! You start to worry is there something wrong, have I left it too late etc etc..
I confided in a friend who recently fell pregnant with No.2 but she said its not as easy as everyone thinks, she told me it took her 8 months to conceive No.2 and she said the best thing to do is not think about it and let nature do its thing, to stop putting pressure on my mind and body. To also make it romantic, nice lingerie, candles etc etc. not just "Ok, I'm ovulating, lets go do it" kinda mentality!
Sorry for the long repy but I know how you and probably other girls feel on this thread, BABY DUST TO ALL.
