Hi Bebsie, there is a chance of miscarriage in the first 12 weeks, 1 in 5 I think, but there is nothing wrong with telling people. I've always told my family and when I did miscarry it was great to have their support, it also helps with the morning sickness and tiredness because people do more for you - no point suffering in silence.

  • Thanks for the welcome MadMac, I'm still working my way through the entire thread and I think I'm getting the hang of all the abbreviations:D

I have been a complete nightmare the last few days! Thought I was due AF yesterday, have had lower back ache, odd feeling in my belly for a few days (not like normal pre AF cramps), feel fat (that could be the hot cross buns though ;)) and very moody - symptom spotter? Moi? Never  Anyhoo, tested Thursday and yesterday and BFN then lo and behold, it seems AF is here. Can't help but feel a little disappointed and a little angry at myself for not being more patient - it's not exactly MSE is it!

Oh well, there's always next month and I get to enjoy a few wines this weekend :D

Baby dust to all and Happy Easter :easter:

    Hi all,
I have spoken to the early pregnancy clinic and I'm going for a scan on Tuesday afternoon, it's going to be a long wait. On a positive note there hasn't been any more spotting, but I did wake in a panic last night with really bad stomach cramps, they faded after about 5 minutes and to be honest I think it was trapped wind!! I also got my 12 week ante-natal appointment through today 12th May for scan.

Jenny I also check everytime I go to the loo for blood, which is stressing me out too!

Hope everyone is well, and sticky baby dust to all xx
  • Catw0man, I don't know if this will make you feel any better but I frequently wake up with cramps when I roll over in bed. I think it's a combination of uterus stretching and trapped wind. Fingers tightly crossed for you. I also check for blood every time I go to the loo. I haven't quite get used to the lovely gushing feelings of discharge in pregnancy yet and expect to see bright red every time! I think it is normal to feel like that x x

See no one has ever mentioned "gushing feelings of discharge" to me before. Man, I'm learning loads on here.

My OH has agreed to dtd later as our first official "not trying to not get pregnant" time! Very exciting. I know it's not all that romantic, but I'm holding him to ransom so that he'll do some of the work he needs to do before his deadline creeps up.

It's allowing me time to mark coursework as well, which I'm doing in a much happier mood than ever before. Ha ha.

    Still slightly freaked out though!!

Hi all, just a quicky to let you all know the first set of Blood tests came back yesterday evening, AND my hormone levels are all normal for the first time in 7yrs. (yey)

My ultrasound however has shown alot of growths on both ovaries. (:()

Although im still none the wiser yet as to what these truly are, as the nurse told me and showed me them, and said both cushing's disease and pcos can have these.

I am awaiting my next blood test on the 27th April to double confirm all results so far. and then I am being referred for laser to laser the growths away. At which point I will then be allowed back to try Clomid.

It is happening very fast now, much better than it was before, I cant believe my luck really. To go from being told virtually no chance of concieving to this is absolutely amazing. Im so happy at the moment. Not just because of the concieving side of things but because Im finally being taken seriuosly as having something wrong and someone is trying to find what it is for certain and help treat it with me.

Well hope you all have a good easter and use those 2 extra days wisely;)

Speak to you all soon Baby dust to you All

Excellent news kencokenco. I know I haven't been speaking to you but I have been following your news on here and I'm really pleased for you.

I hope things continue to progress as quickly as they have over the last few weeks. Fingers crossed for you.

  • That's great to hear Kencokenco. Good luck. Your story on here may also help some other women who have been told by their doctor that they have no chance of conceiving.
