Hi Cedrickerry, that sounds familiar. It amazes me how my OH just assumed that the moment he decided it was the right time to TTC I was then expected to instantly become pregnant! Blooming men, I would like to do without him but probably wouldn't cope too well!

When my OH suggested I take a trip to the doctors I said he should go first as tests are so much easier on men and funnily enough, he hasn't yet gone! So I have done my bit by getting OV tests, checking my waking temperature and reading Toni Weschler from cover to cover. That soon shut him up as he was in awe of my new found knowledge!

Anyways, hope we all get that BFP to stick soon enough x

Sorry to hear of your losses Nikabella and Leopardlady I hope you get your BFP's again soon.

Me and OH are going through a bad patch at the moment as he's now decided that he doesn't want another baby. I'm so angry with him as we have been actively trying for the past 8 months and he decided to tell me the day before I ovulated. I knows it's petty but I'm not speaking to him or cooking for him as I'm so hacked off with him. Hopefully when I stop being so angry with him this month that we can have a proper chat about it. (still want to punch him though :D). I hope to be back on track for next month but bang goes my Christmas baby.

  • Hi Ladies!

I found this thread yesterday and while I haven't been able to read it all yet I thought I'd pop in and say hi! I came off the pill in January and it's starting to get to me a little now so I'm so pleased to have found somewhere like this as the OH just says "it'll happen". I'm only just getting to grips with dates and things and I've got no-one to talk to about it so it's nice to know I'm not the only one totally pre-occupied with OV, AF and the like!

AF was due today but I have to admit a did a little test yesterday (why can't I be patient???) which was BFN and I had the grumps all day! I am going to try and control myself over the next few days but it's going to be difficult. I also confess to symptom spotting - I just can't help myself!

Anyhoo, thanks ladies for all the posts, I'm sending good wishes to everyone TTC x

Iheartfreebeies, welcome! Symptom spotting is so hard to avoid I agree, but hopefully you can come on here and share your stories with us all as your TTC adventure continues...

Scottishchick - oh no! As I said yesterday, blooming men (but insert stronger wording as appropriate!) and how on earth did he expect you to react to news like that? I don't blame you, be as petty as you want and make him feel guilty, the rotter. Could this be a very important decision in your relationship, as in you will not stay with him as your desire for a child is too strong? Good luck, thinking of you x

Not much news here - using my new skills courtesy of Toni Weschler I did notice this month when my CM was best and I even noticed when my cervix dropped! But unfortunately my OH is still away and so it was all wasted and this month is now out completely. Ooh, I get so angry with him! But he is coming home today and I'm sure he'll make it up to me ;)

So here's hoping for some positive news on here following this long weekend and fingers crossed nobody joins me in writing off this month already!

Iheartfreebies, I forgot to say this site is very useful to help you keep up with all the abbreviations on here:

Right, I must log off now and get back to work. I'm obviously just too preoccupied today to concentrate much...

    Hi folks.

I've been married a year and a half to an amazing man. We have agreed we want children and I came off the pill in January. However, due to circumstance we haven't dtd much in those months....and when we have we've always used protection.

Anyway, we've kind of agreed we'd like to have a baby now. We aren't actively trying (e.g. I'm not using tests to check things, or making a note of anything) but we've stopped not trying if that makes sense. If nothing happens over the next 2 years then we will make a concerted effort.

Until then however, I am just enjoying learning about all this stuff. It's odd, I'm a science teacher but applying it to myself rather than just talking about female biology is very different. Anyway, just wanted to say thank you for all the mind blowing information thats on here, I feel much more clued up about things now.

My SIL is pregnant (due in July) and I think thats been the awakening we needed (that and 5 of my friends). However, we are planning on moving later this year and would kind of like to wait till thats over with....but at the same time, I would quite like it to happen before.

OOOOOh it's weird admitting to myself that I want a baby. Doesn't help that I've felt sick for the last 3 days and everyone keeps asking if I'm pregnant. I think it's either a bug or AF on her way, but they won't have it. Still whatever it is, I'll be glad to get back to my old self. Teachers + holidays = being poorly sick!

Welcome Twinklie, it looks like you are going to enjoy this thread, we will all wait and see if you can hold out another 2 years of not really trying! It gets to you in a really strange and silly way. It is all good fun though, even the tough times seem worth it, and with the friendship you will find here it makes it all worth while.

Sticky baby dust to all :) Bank holiday weekend for all that fun :) i am looking forward to hearing about lots of easter babies!
