  • It's so hard sometimes isn't it?! AF is due tomorrow and I can tell she's about to start early (and the rational part of me knows that there's pretty much no chance of being pregnant this month anyway) but there's still this part of my brain which keeps nagging away that there's still a chance. I know there isn't and yet I know I'll still be massively disappointed... why do I do this to myself?! Each month I try and keep up this great pretence that I'm really not bothered and my time will come but I still spend at least the last week of each cycle obssessing. I really need to get a grip:D
  • Well everyone, just thought I would drop by. Af is due tomorrow and though I know she will probably turn up, and I am trying to tell myself, this all I can think is I really hope she doesn't. I'm feeling a mixture of emotions part of me is thinking it is only the first month of trying and it did take a long time to be pg with DD so I shouldn't be too dissapointed. Part of me is also hoping for a small miracle or belated Christmas pressie, ( I was a really good girl last year and maybe Santa noted this lol).

I hope everyone is bding lots and hopefully we will have some more fantastic bfps soon.

Lots of sticky baby dust to everyone. xx

I understand how you are feeling tigerlilley1980, I was very disappointed about not getting the BFP this week, but there we go, i have been trying for 7 months now, so lets hope it all sorts itself out soon, or i may have to pop to the gps (they told me to see them at 9mths of trying so they can start the process of getting consultant appointments).
Anyway January is a new month and a new year, lets hope it brings us all some lovely news.

Ultra sticky baby dust to you all :)

  • Evening fellow TTC'rs! 2DPO for me and I am feeling very worn out by all the BDing and work. Hubby is at work tonight so I am having an early night with a hot water bottle tonight- yippee:T .

After managing not to symptom spot last month, today I am feeling so dizzy and woke up feeling so sick. I thought I was going down with this sickness bug, but once I was up I started feeling better and within an hour was ravenous. Aargh- too early for any symptoms anyway and I am driving myself mad. What a 'mare!

Lots of baby dust to everyone- fingers crossed that January will bring lots (more) BFPs on here.

    Hi all,

Well I'm now on day 20 and still haven't ov yet so think I'm heading for another 40 days cycle. DH has finally got his head around bding this month so just going on the every other day basis until AF actually arrives (or hopefully doesn't arrive).

Sorry to everybody who had AF arrive, I know how disappointing it can be even if your already blessed with kids.

  • Hi i hope you don't mind me popping back to ask a question but the pg board moves so fast and nothing against the lovely ladies but they are all over the 3 months save zone and a lot are ready to pop so are all talking about there babies are of course v excited and all know each other has have been there for some time so us newbies seem to get a little lost. I haven't had a reply to my last question so i thought some of you may be able to help.

Well i started bleeding again yesterday and i can't get a midwife apt until the end of the month. Can you believe the midwives here are only on call from 9-10 am So i phoned today and told her about the bleeding and she wanted me to have a scan today but the hospital is fully booked until tues. So i have to wait.

She said i have to have an internal scan as only 6 weeks and over weight. What is it like? does it hurt?
    Thanks

    Hi Elastigirl,

I had an internal scan at 6 weeks with dd and it doesn't hurt, it just feels slightly uncomfortable. Maybe too much information but basically they put an internal probe (not sure what is called) inside you (think smear test but less painful) and then look for a heartbeat on the monitor. The whole process lasts about 10-15minutes and if everything is ok you'll get to see the little one for the first time.

Let us know how it goes.

    Happy friday ladies :j

Okay it is official, I have ovulation pains, the past 3 months on CD14/15 I have these horrible cramps on the right side of my stomach. I can feel a slight swelling on the right side as well, my OH could feel it too, wanted him to check in case I was imagining things.

Does it sound "normal?" I'm going to the doctors later about my back so wondered if I should mention it to him? I'm not too worried really, they only last a few days and I suppose it's a good sign, it means i'm ovulating right?

OH and I decided last month sometime that we wouldn't actively try to get pregnant, in terms of checking temps, doing ov tests etc, i'd just stay off my pill and if we get pregnant then great but if we don't it's okay. But he knows i'm ovulating and the last two days i've tried to get him to BD and he wont. So I said how can we get pregnant if we don't have sex, he said but I thought we were just going to see if happened  So I said but if we're not having sex at all then we're not trying at all, I may as well go back on my flippin pill  I'm going to have to use my womanly powers to get him into bed tonight, dressing up, offering of something all boys like, THE LOT! :rotfl:

Elastigirl - hope everything is okay hunny, try to not to worry, easier said than done I know. ((big hugs))

Sticky baby dust to all :D
