Ive another question
..how do you work out the average length of your cycle? Ive worked out the length of each one, going back 12 months and it ranges from 27days (just a one off!) up to 32 days (5 out of 12 times) so with 32days being the length the most times..would you say this is my average cycle length or is there a better way to work it out?
Im just trying to work out the best times to BD in the next few weeks. AF did show up today,as expected...hoping its the last I see of her for the next 9months or so!!!
love my little man he is amazing :j0 -

I use https://www.mymonthlycycles.com It has my average at 26 days, but that does include a couple of slightly longer ones, and a couple of slightly shorter ones, too. You can tell it to exclude any over/under a certain amount of days. My latest ones have been mostly 25 days, with last month at 24 days. I use OPK's too, so I don't miss my most fertile days if I ov later than usual.
Hope that helps,

Thanks ladies...I was so busy yesterday afternoon totally forgot I posted this :rotfl:
I was so excited opening my pressies today and making a big dinner that testing went totally out of the window, didn't even think about it until this evening  I don't mind though, I know the chances are so slim of us being pregnant, probably would have just been a waste of a test
I've got a feeling i'm going to come on today...we just BD'd and sometimes that can bring it on early....not happy! Got lots of shopping to do tomorrow! I did get a lovely Me To You hot water bottle of my MIL which will come in handy when I do get my AF.
Glad you're feeling a bit more relaxed this month Annie, it'll do you goodAnd they do say, once you stop trying too much, that's when you catch so I really hope it's true for you

I do hate it when i'm right  5 minutes after I posted this I went to the loo and lo and behold there she was. Gutted! I'm not mega disappointed we're not pg, I pretty much knew we wouldn't be but I'm in soooo much pain! God knows how I will cope with labour when I am pg, it really does worry me when this hurts this much :rotfl:I was supposed to go shopping today and I have been in bed all day, i'm either in too much pain too walk about or the painkillers i'm takng knock me out! Glad I got some nice new pj's yesterday.
I'm going to try and put more effort into BDing this month but my back is so bad some days that we can't actually do it or i'd probably end up in A&E :rotfl:
Right I am off to eat some more chocolate and get snuggled up with my new hot water bottle which is proving to me my best xmas present :rotfl::heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

Aww Hayley, hope ur feeling better soon!
Bought some folic acid today,so started on that now. I know your meant to take it from something like 3months before conception, and we plan, fingers crossed to conceive in the next 2 weeks, but it's surely more advantageous than not taking any atall??love my little man he is amazing :j0 -
Hey Everyone,
I don't know if we are allowed to post on this thread if we already have one child but we are trying for a second now? I hope so.
I have been trying to read up on the thread a little bit a day but it is so long! I'm not sure that I understand all the abbreviations yet.
We have a DD who will be 2 next month & we don't want a big gap between our children so we decided to start TTC this month. I stopped taking my OCP 3 months ago to let my body & cycle get back to normal but we took other precautions, as I was really worried about having a July/August baby as there is some evidence to suggest that the youngest children in a school year tend be more likely to struggle at school. (Now you all think I'm crazy!)
My LMP was 07/12/08 & my cycle has varied between 30-31 days, so according to the calculator I used, my window of oppurtunity for ovulation was between 20th-26th December. We have only BD'd (hope that's right!) 3 times during this time as we have both been really ill with flu & busy with Christmas, so now I'm starting to worry we may have totally mucked up our chance to get pregnant this month. I would love to have a September baby as my birthday is that month & a Virgo baby would be amazing lol. (Now you definetely all think I'm crazy!)
Anyway, realistically we would love to get pregnant in the next couple of months so that there is less than 3 years between our children, as even this I feel is a big gap. It would be so great to be able to have people to talk to who are TTC as all our friends are either already pregnant or happy with their family size already. When I was pregnant with our DD I had 3 friends who were pregnant at the exact same time & it was just fabulous.
Lots of luck to all those who are TTC, BFP's would be a fantastic way to start the New Year for everyone.

Hi Nikabella.
Welcome to the thread and best of luck!

Hi Nikabella
Course you can join in, the more the merrier :j
Now crazy is a strong word....one might say a bit mad? :rotfl: Hehe, i'm just kidding. We all think about different things when we're TTC I guess. I'd just like to have a baby by next christmas so I need to get pregnant by March (is that right? Am I being thick?)
You BD'd three times during your most fertile time, well last month, we BD'd three times in total :rotfl: Well four actually if you count last night. So you're doing better than us :rotfl:
I'm off to bed now, got to be up early and i'm praying my pains aren't here tomorrow because I have some serious shopping to do!!
Night xx:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

well i was due on xmas day but am now 2 days late so i did a clearblue test today and ........ The blooming thing didn't work! We did everything right as well held in for 5 secs laid it flat etc and fault line appeared
It was the only one dh bought i told him to get a couple of cheap ones but he wanted a good one. Superdrug didn't have the £1.99 sale clearblue ones in fact no sale at all at ours. The shops are all in the next town not very near at all so dh not going out again, So we won't know for sure until next week now.
Sorry you haven't caught hayley better luck next time.
got-it-spend-it how are you doing? as you were on the same cycle as me and due AF the same time ish. This is my signature!0 -
Like elastigirl I was due on Xmas day, so am 2 days l8. Feel like any time though  I have been feeling slightly weird and almost fainted yesterday (not due to Christmas spirit;)) but reckon it could be just due to cold I am just getting over. Told DH i'll test on Thursday when a week l8 if AF doesn't show, but am pretty sure that the cold, and stress of Xmas is only reason for l8ness2009 total raised £2373.60:jthe new garden beat me in 2010 just £1306.66:o2011 - 365 £ a day.
