    Hey ladies :D

I've got a question. Somebody said there was no such thing as TMI...so here goes....

When you and your OH have BD'd, what do you do straight afterwards? I grab some tissue and run to the toilet...should I be waiting a bit longer to give the little guys chance to swim up there?? :o I've heard about some women who lie with their legs up against the headboard afterwards...do people really do that? Should I be doing that?

Well I have read that if they are going to get where they are meant to be, they will get there through your CM (hence dismissing the myth about doing it standing up and not getting pg etc), but I see not harm in staying still on your back for a bit afterwards with my pillow under my bum (apparently if you position yourself too high it can make the pop. paste go towards the wrong bits or something (read it on another forum so who knows!). I have never stayed like that for more than half an hour and even then it was because I was reading my book and didn't realise (I get sore hips after a while as my legs seem to be really heavy!) so normally give is 10-15 mins if I can.

I'm lazy, sometimes I just put some nickers on and a tissue in so I don't have to get out of bed! Don't put my legs up though.

I've heard you shouldn't run straight off to the toilet afterwards but not sure if it makes any difference!
I like jennynoo and ginzts suggestions :D

I've just been reading "Get pregnant faster" by a fertility doc working in Cambridge. She says that healthy sperm get to the neck of the cervix within 5 minutes of the deed, so not to dash off to the loo immediately afterwards. Less healthy sperm take 40-50 minutes, but an egg fertilised by one of these is much more likely, according to her, to lead to a miscarriage, so she says there is no benefit in propping your feet up to help the process, as you want to encourage only the good sperm on their way.

Very interesting book with lots of advice. Much better (Imo) than TCOYF as it contains all the same CM info, but a lot more about diet, positions and timing/frequency, as well as advice on male fertility as well as female.

Maybe I shouldn't have encouraged those slow sperm. Just spoke to the doc and my hCG had gone up but only a small amount 1117 - 1258 I think she said. So miscarriage or ectopic, I have to go for another scan tomorrow.

And you know you can get pregnant... I know it is an awful thought, but I at least would like to know that I can get pregnant....

Yeah, and I got pregnant quite quickly considering I only came off the pill in May and didn't do any planning and me and OH don't bd that often. So not all bad. Told most people now which is the worst bit. Wonder how long the bleeding will last - will have to ask the doc tomorrow, can't really start trying again until it has stopped!
