Your right Tesco's are in breach of the law but R&R is an optional "extra" they offer and they simply don't apply it in these cases unless you are lucky and have a nice CS assistant..0 -
so you go back in after CS have refused R&R and take a pic? I thought they didn't allow photographs to be taken in their stores?
Also, is that real or sufficient evidence for the TS as dates and times of phone camera pics can be modified can't they?0 -
not if i go to the newstand and get a copy of the times, put it beside the sel and take the picture? then buy the times so i also have the reciept dated for that day?
they can hardly stop you taking a photo though if you dont make it obvious can they?0 -
When i go to CS for the RR I make a point of not letting anyone get to the offending SEL without me 2 steps behind. Don't trust them that they may change the label in my absece and deny the whole thing when they get back to me. Any info on more expensive items other than organic foods and cds happily received. Done the stores round here within 20 miles and nothing to get my teeth into now.0

I guess worst case scenario, you could chance it and if they dont budge make a song and dance re trading standards and ask for a refund as you were buying it on the basis of the prominent sel?0
-
And TS will say you should get it for the SEL price (and maybe fine Tesco's £2000 too) but something tells me thats not what your after?
As I said before R&R is done through choice by Tesco's and its not their policy to apply it to an out of date promo thats marked on the SEL.
As its not law and Tesco's choice it can't be enforced by TS.
My advice is if CS say no accept a refund and let it go..0 -
Ok - I feel so dumb.
