Still no forms here! I'll be back on the phone tomorrow if they don't turn up...0

I sent the forms back recorded delivery a few days back, but they have had my complaint letter for a week now, and no response there. I just checked my online statement, and it still looks just the same. D|On't know why I bother really, I suppose you just hope that amongst all the lemons working there one of them might actually do something useful.

No response to my recorded-delivery letter of complaint that they've had for a week either.0

Ain't life wonderful....waiting for them to take action is like watching paint not only dry, but warp, flake, crack, and fall off again.
Their fraud dispute forms promise a resolution within ten days. But then they also asked me to return the forms in the prepaid envelope that wasn't there, so ten days could really mean, Manyana, sometime, p'raps, if we feels like it sunshine. Go 'way, 'nnoying customer, go AWAY. Zzzzzzzz.
<sigh>

I had another letter from the Minions of Darkness this morning:. You know those times when you have a Groundhog Day moment; when you are sure you've done all this before...? We have noticed a problem with your account, there has been possible fraudulent activity on your account, we've placed a *safeguard* (er, Block, would that be?) on your account,. Please ring us quoting this * SPESHUL SOOPER SEKRIT CODE WORD*...
So, I went through the motions - won't bore you all with the tedium, since anyone reading this thread has been there and done that, I would assume. I was sarcastic, they were apologetic and slightly dense. It was the UK though, not the Indian call centre. Usefully, they did say my complaint letter had arrived, and had been escalated to a level 2. More to the point, I got into a bit of a conversation with the guy and asked him if this was a general problem specific to Morgan Stanley, since I knew of several other people in the same boat. His reply was interesting; looks like the Conspiracy Theorists are right, this IS part of a much larger problem, specific to Migrated Cards from MSDW and is being dealt with by a specialist Barclaycard team. (God help us then...) I laughed conspiratorially and said *Oh, inside job then. Ha ha?* and he said, well, we can't say much right now, but it is being looked at.....
So make of that what you will.. All fuel to the fire.

I've just called up the fraud people again on 0800 0851721 to ask why the forms hadn't arrived. They claimed the forms were sent out on the 16th but then when she took a closer look at the account it turns out all the dodgy transactions were reversed on the 18th! I checked online and sure enough my current balance is £0.00.
My replacement card also arrived today.0 -
AHAR - How come you got lucky!!!

Nice work, at least somebody has things sorted!
I have just called to ask if they can confirm receipt of my complaints letter and my query forms, they were sent on the 13th and 16th if this month.
She said to call back next week.
The royal mail tracking for recorded delivery has not worked on both of these seperate pieces of mail, useless!
The website says they'll respond to complaints within 5 working days - yeah right!!!
I think I'll call the Financial Ombudsman on Monday ** Mobile Phones.... I'm here to help **0 -
Hi I have just noticed all these threads about the fraud that seems to be happening with the barclay card takeover of Morgan Stanley. unfortunatley the same thing as also happened to me last Friday, I received a statement from Barclay card saying I owe £675 which came as a rather nasty shock as I had never used the card which i had not long received to replace my old morgan stanley card which I had also not used for several years. When checking the statement I noticed the transaction was made in a coffee shop in China on the 5th Oct, as I have never been to China I was gobsmacked, I phoned Barclay Card straight away and was told it was my old morgan Stanley card that was used in China to purchase alcohol in this coffee shop, like many of you this card should not have been used after the 22nd Sept, my Morgan Stanley card is still stuck to the letter it arrived with in the envelope as I didn't intend to use it so how on earth can anyone use the card and know my details if the card as never been outside the house or used to purchase anything online. Anyway I am also waiting to receive dispute forms wont hold my breath then!!! Please can anyone tell me what happens if its not been sorted before the payment is due to be made? Also my daughter as just had the same problem with barclay card taking over Goldfish there were two small transactions made to charitys and then a big one for £650 to Dell luckily Goldfish noticed the high transactions and phoned her to question it before they paid it. She is less than happy about Barclay card taking over with all the !!!! ups thats happening. Please let me know if anyone else decides to contact watchdog0

Welcome Dragon69 to our rapidly growing merry band of Fraudsters. (irony).
I'm still stuck in waiting for the Minions of Darkness to wake up and do something. In my complaint letter I did say ten working days, so I am waiting until later this week before I call them again and get REALLY annoyed. Thats when I shall start bandying words like *Financial Ombudsman* and *Watchdog* around.
You probably need someone's specialist advice about what to do about making payments. I still have until the end of this month before I receive the statement with the frauds on it and I had payments to make for my own, real purchases at the beginning of October, so it won't become an issue until November. Barclaycard do say all these issues will be sorted out, and quickly, but I wouldn't believe a word they say. You might be better making a minimum payment to avoid having a *missed payment* appear on your credit rating, if it comes to the crunch. But that is just an opinion, you'll need to make your own decisions of course.;)
cheers,
