BBC- Working Lunch-Rubbish
Comments

I've been watching Working Lunch from when it started and this does seem to be the end.
The only interest I have now is looking at Naga Munchetty's shoes.
!!!!!! LOL
I thought my O H had some shoes but she will take some beating.
Sad isn't it that it is supposed to be a money show and the only thing of interest is the presenters shoes.
(She is known as Minny Mouse in our house.)I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
I've so enjoyed reading this thread. The new format is truly awful. I was about to give up and emigrate in the face of evidence that slowly but surely everything of a decent standard is being dumbed down but seeing as there are so many like minded souls on here maybe I'll just not watch the rubbish and stick to CSI morning noon and night
.
As an ex teacher I realise that the BBC want to reach as many as possible and to do so they have no choice but to aim the programme at the moronic masses we seem to have in our country these days but hey, I've an idea .... how about we RAISE the bar and 'encourage' the poor sods who received their education (or lack of it) in the last couple of decades, to AIM HIGHER and NOT be satisfied with swimming along at the bottom. Shame on you BBC, we deserve better. How about a total boycott of all BBC progs for a week to get the message across???:rotfl:0 -
I'm finding it hard to continue to watch this programme any longer. I have always recorded it as it's on whilst I'm at work. However, I'm finding I have to fast forward through most of it now as it is that bad. The new(ish) presenters Declan whatever his name is and the woman are atrocious. He is wooden as a rocking horse and she is just there as eye candy for the boys I think. I have given them a chance to settle in but it's not happening for me I'm afraid.
Today's episode saw them wrapping up the year for the Christmas and New Year break. They were standing there listing all the events over the year and in the last couple of months in particular and OMG could they have looked any happier doing it. Don't get me wrong I don't want to see morose looking faces, but their attitude in the way they conveyed the serious subjects they were discussing was highly inappropriate.
Please bring back Adrian Chiles and Adam Shaw!

I've just sent an email to the program working.lunch@bbc.co.uk expressing my disgust at this travesty. I hope others will do the same.
Dave.
Edit: I have also used the BBC's complaints process online to make my feelings known http://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/.
To think I actually paid for my TV licence renewal this morning ... Doh! Unless they buck their ideas up, they can whistle for my licence fee next year.
I emailed them after the first showing in the new format expressing my opinion and saying that I wasn't going to watch it any more and told them to invest in a few ties for the presenters as they look awful, and that Declan, absolutely dreadful. Bring back Adam, Paddy et al!0 -
I havent watched it since the awful halloween episode. It was just so dumbed down and poorly presented. I now learn more by watching Loose Women.

I was a huge fan of the old format. I watched the new show with some interest to see how it would deveop. I have to say given a month or so it has almost lost me completely.
It's not that the new presenters are bad. Individually I quite like them and she is quite stunning, although her voice really grates.I think its the format,it's bitty and trendy and lacks substance and real interest. It was much better before with relaxed and jovial Adam and Paddy. They asked the right questions with knowledge but good humour.I miss his view of the markets and the business results.
It's all a bit too trendy now, coffee tables, boring guests with that Ann Robinson walk of shame. A row of bewildered guests looking on wondering '!!!!!! am I doing here?'
It was a blow when Adrian left but it carried on pretty seamlessly with Adam and cuddly Nick. You felt part of them sitting down to lunch with them. now I get bored after Naga's voice overwhelms the 'phwooor factor' and I return to the day's duties.
Most of all I miss Adam. :T0 -
Have to say that I agree with most of the comments expressed here, I just don't feel comfortable with it any more, it somehow seems remote, unfriendly and irrelevant.
I don't mind Declan he was fine doing the financial stuff on breakfast TV but he just does not 'fit' properly with working lunch.
FWIW I complained too and received the same response as the one posted earlier!0 -
The guests have gone from down market to down market.0
