I got this reply to my complaint:

    Dear

Thanks for your e-mail regarding 'Working Lunch'.

I'm sorry you've been so disappointed with the new presenters and format of the programme which I note you feel trivialises the subject matter.

From time to time BBC programmes necessarily have to undergo a redesign to ensure they remain as dynamic and engaging to audiences as they'd expect.

'Working Lunch' remains committed to covering financial matters in-depth and how they directly affect our audience. As presenters, both Naga Munchetty and Declan Curry also bring a wealth of experience in broadcasting and business journalism to the programme.

Thanks again for taking the time to contact us with the strength of your views.

    Regards

To those who haven't yet received a reply to their complaint, I would say it's early days yet. I bet they've had lots of complaints!!!:rotfl:

Rachel Horne's voice is the most irritating on TV, the way she says Pound makes me want to join the Euro.

That just made me laugh out loud!

...Or is it because positive discrimination in the BBC meant that they needed an ethnic minority face on the program at the expense of the old team?

Is that just me being cynical?

I did mention the fish in my complaint email but they didn't reply to that part of it icon9.gif

I said that they had replaced the fish with a pig - how original!!! But they deemed not to reply to that part of my complaint.

The fish was part of the brand - everyone recognised it. Why change it? ..... and for a pig!!!!!

They should have dogs in the opening credits - because that's just where the programme's gone to! :rotfl:

  • Fish off (one for the Hawksbee & Jacobs fans there.....)

Haven't watched this in years, but I'm disappointed to hear it's become yet another show that feels it has to treat its audience like cretins.
    Great !

I am also going to complaining as the programme is terrible. The woman looks like she is desperate attract men.
  • I've been watching Working Lunch from when it started and this does seem to be the end.

What's with the sitting at a cocktail bar table nonsense ?! And all those across camera shots !? "I'll speak to you soon over there" stuff!?

Gompertz et al. have been relegated to the outside broadcast - what a kick in the teeth !

The only interest I have now is looking at Naga Munchetty's shoes.

    !!!!!! LOL
