Just finished watching it, normally like litlle Dec, but what an awful, awful new format, more like loose women!! And where is Adam? Did it have anything to do with money! Finance!
Sorry it was so rubbish I just had to say it!

I didnt catch the start but I switched it off before it finished as it was boring.
The sell and rent back bit was useful info but it seemed to dumb the whole thing down without really giving any useful info. The "things to do" bit was rubbish. The first point was to "make sure you sell at market price". Well anyone who knows about sell and rent back will tell you that you dont sell at market price. It is discounted for quick sale. Thats the benefit for the buyer.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. I watched and thought it came across well for a new format. Having the delightful Digby on was a great move. Like any new format with new presenters it will take viewers time to adjust, but I thought it did no worse than the last format.

I watched it but have to agree with the OP - the format before was better. Will stick with it though as there aren't any other similar programs worth watching at lunchtimes.0

Sounds like it has gone the same way as the awful "This Week" on Thursday night on BBC1 after Question Time full of gimmicks, panto and celebs to dumb down discusions on politics.
These days Adam Shaw is popping up on Radio 4 in the mornings.0 -
....but there was absolutely nothing wrong with the original presenters, format or for that matter content, honestly what makes them think they can make such crap and get us all to pay for it. There was nothing about shares, markets, they could have done a lot on the current events but no, there was some stupid thing about mending dresses!! Dresses!!!!!!!!!!
So all those icesave customers out there, probably really happy to be learning about dress mending, shocking, what is little Dec doing!!

Maybe it is now made by the producers of the aforementioned "This Week".:eek:0 -
The only good thing about the show was how uncomfortable Branson looked at the start.
Looks like they've abandoned the relaxed/shambolic nature of the programme and got rid of any one with personality.
Poor Adrian Chiles must be spinning in his MOTD2 grave.
These replacements have to walk and talk at the same time, testing.
Rachel Horne's voice is the most irritating on TV, the way she says Pound makes me want to join the Euro.
Apologies to Northern Ireland, but her voice grates horribly.
Can't wait for it to become "Retired Lunch" .Just for one moment, thought I'd found my way.0 -
Really gone downhill, not impressed!!! It's more a daytime chat show than a serious business programme. It just glosses over the issues and is so dumbed down it's more like a programme to teach people the basics of business as you'd find in a school.
Just saw this on another forum :
"The timing couldn't have been worse. Just now, there's probably more demand for financial news than ever before and what do the BBC go and do? Dumb down their one and only domestic financial programme."

In the light of further viewing, I'm afraid I have to revise my earlier opinion above ... post #3
There is no sign of it gaining any momentum as I'd hoped. It is just pap, not serious news or useful opinion on the financial crisis currently affecting us all. I don't want to know about the economics of manufacturing an Innocent Smoothie. I want hard hitting facts, latest statistics, focus on what is happening in the markets and why ... not this 'Blue Peter' version of the financial world! Get down Shep.
