I don't mind the new presenters and it definitely has a 'slicker' look than before. What I do not understand is why the reporters and guests have to sit grinning like fools at the back of the set for the whole half hour. The cheap tables they are perched at look like they were stolen from outside a sandwich shop. Instructing the main guest to walk a few paces across the studio is a bizarre waste of 20 seconds of each edition.
  • i watched it for the first time in ages last week and thought it was terrible   .

i used to rush home from work to watch every lunchtime - bring back adrian, adam and the rest of the gang!!!!

will now only be tuning in to watch martin :money: for my weekly financial update during daytime tv hours!

    loki x
it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:

AWFUL it even featured on a BBC review programme on the BBC, the editor turned up and a viewer told him it was rubbish, why was the programme teaching him dress making, what did the editor say.....wait for it......

he said the viewing figures had gone up!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH

I actually dropped my lunch on the floor, if this nut job honestly believes that, there really is no hope!

Delusional morons, it is truly one of the most embarrassing, cringe inducing, vomit provoking things I have ever seen. I only managed 5 minutes of the first one and 3 minutes of the Richard Branson one, that was funny but not in a good way.

Do you think anyone will get fired...oh no...next job for the editor of this rubbish will be Director General, you watch...I mean don’t watch....you know what I mean.

Is that working lunch email official??

If so lets ALL just send them a email with a link to this thread, maybe with enough pressure we can get the other gang back, or at least get it taken off the air.

In the current credit crunch I can't afford to drop my lunch anymore!
  • Maybe figures have gone up as a temporary blip because people are hearing how awful it now is. Haven't watched this for a while, but will try and catch it on Thursday to see how terrible it is!
  • I have to agree - IT'S AWFUL

The way they have wrecked a once reasonable informative program is a disgrace.I bet the next target will be Newsnight perhaps Paxman will be replaced by Ian Wright.

The above link is Adam Shaw saying farewell :(

Thankfully he will be on Radio 4 and BBC Breakfast from December, but the new Working Lunch format just isn't for me. I don't know whether the production team have been replaced (the style of the programme has changed so much, for the worse in my opinion), but why would the BBC do that to an award-winning and popular programme?
