BBC- Working Lunch-Rubbish

It's a classic case where the people who know sod all about keeping the public satisfied take a decent programme that the public are quite happy with and ruin it by trying to improve it!0

Apparently, Capita, who have the contract for TV licencing, don't have any working detector vans. Nor do they have any legal rights to enter your property to check if you have a TV capable of receiving a TV signal. It's all just bluff and bluster. Wishing I hadn't paid them now.

Dave.
Is this actually true? Can we stop them from entering the property. I mean we can, its our home after all. Unless they have court order. What good am I, if I am like the rest. - Bob Dylan0 -

This is true, without a court order and policeman present, they have no more right to enter your property than your local burglar.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
I read this thread as I have a "special interest" in Mrs Munchetty and watch Working Lunch at the moment. I can assure all that her appearance is nothing to do with this particular show as there is plenty of flesh on display on News 24 as well. Looking at the performances of some past "autocuties" this can only mean she is angling for a place on the Breakfast sofa. She even "gets 'em out" on Sunday (I just happen to have some footage). Having said that she is always beautifully turned out, easily the best dressed newsbabe on screen, particularly if you are keen on stilettoes. More than happy to discuss this issue further by email, messenger or private message if anyone is interested.0

LOL. Getting 'em oot for the lads really shows the programme producers are desperate.
I shall now be [STRIKE]watching[/STRIKE]leering on the iPlayer.
at least I shamed that Declan into wearing a tie, makes him look much more professional, but I still can't stand him!0 -
Well as this thread has surfaced again I may as well make a comment!
I gave the programme my attention for several months after the changes but the boredom got the better of me and I have not watched WL since early this year.
IMHO whenever they change a programme to 'revitalise' it, it ends up much worse and they would have been better just leaving it as it was.0 -
But she should return to having long hair, it improves her appearance infinitely. She looks too much like a boy otherwise and that is not a good thing!I read this thread as I have a "special interest" in Mrs Munchetty and watch Working Lunch at the moment. Used to be a good watch - now its usually trivia or sycophancy ("hello, here is an important man - he runs a Company!!!")0

It was amusing in its unique way when they presented.bring back adam shaw and all the other's that declan whatever his name is he's rubbish
Now it's the type of humour where instead of laughing you opt to chew your own hand instead. Where is Adam Shaw and Nik Wood? Talk about wasted talent.
Hope the government eventually musters the courage to abolish the BBC's privileged funding (including their commercial ventures into the internet, music and travel guide books) and replace with a trust that will fund programmes that are of use to society but not commercially viable. Chances of that happening?
