    Morning again,

Have done two loads of heavy washing, got it out on the line, it was all bedding and jeans, hoovered through and mopped floors, tidied kitchen and bathroom, went outside ans washed down all the UPVC on the windows and doors, and the heavens opened  , so rushed out the back rescued the washing and now the house looks like a chinese laundry, with wet washing hanging everywhere, will it ever stop raining.

Don't know how I am going to get it dry, I have no tumble dryer, and the heating is not on yet, but I am sure I will manage.

Kathy, thanks for asking about my nephew, things are very much the same, he is back at the home at the moment, he keeps 'escaping' (not sure if that is the correct word, but you know what I mean ) and heading home where he gets abusive to his parents and younger brothers. I am hoping that this more secure home in Guildford comes off for him. He needs to get away from his home town and the bad influences there, he somehow has access to alcohol and we think drugs. Fingers crossed it will all work out for him.
I hope you poor toe is not giving you too much trouble, good excuse to sit and Knit I think :D

Anniestar, glad you are enjoing your concerts, and I can't wait to hear your news :j

Well better get on with things xx

Anyway off to hunt out my winter clothes from the spare room[strike]dump[/strike]It's like a landfill site with all DD's stuff at the mo:rolleyes:

Cooked brunch in the Moski for me and DD(22) and have just put a yorkshire pud in for DH.

Two wash loads of bedding are on the line and want to have a browse on here with a cup of coffee before getting shampood, showered and changed.

Might try making rolls or scones in the moski later and will make the leftover potatoes, peas and pork into an evening meal in the remoska.

Have ordered a few early Christmas presents as I have found some books and dvds that DDs will love.

Still trying to get used to my new glasses!!!!!

Hugs to everyone having a tough time with health etc especially Hester,Candy,Smoky, miolier, meanmarie, penny pincher, jannyannie, jackieO,whatawit and anniestar.

Think DH is coming round to the idea of the Remoska.;)

    Afternoon everyone,

Not much happening here today. I have dinner in the slow cooker...a strange concoction of leftovers from yesterday with a few odds and ends thrown in. It could go either way and be either fabulous or revolting. We'll find out later.

Other than that I haven't done a lot this morning. I'm tidying dd's room for her coming home on Thursday :j :j :j Can you tell how much I've missed her? :D And I had to run back round to ds2's school with a forgotten packed lunch, but that's about it.

Apart from three phonecalls from Haribo. She's absolutely fuming because some strange man she met in a shop this morning made a mistake about her age. :D Unfortunately I can't say any more because she's threatened me with all sorts of revelations being posted on here if I do. Suffice to say I could hardly speak for laughing. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Hopefully she'll come on and tell you her version later!

Off to do the dishes. Hope everyone's having a good day.

    Afternoon all.

Well, here we are at the start of another week.

N9eav years ago, I had a little dog, and she started weeing indoors for no apparent reason. Turned out she had cystitis. Just a thought.

Mioliere Ouch!! Stubbed toes hurt – I know from experience.

PenPin and JackieO Best of luck at your respective hospitals.

Anniestar I gather you enjoyed Level 42 then? No, seriously, I understand what you meant; I have no-one in the world except Mr LW, so I can empathise with the isolated feeling. It’s good to have something to take you away from reality sometimes, however briefly.

We've had a busy weekend; all the usual scratting about to do the cleaning and stuff that I can't manage alone.

Sunday was the Farmers Market. It was persisting with rain, so I said there was no point in both of us going; Mr LW went on his own, and he was one very soggy Wolf when he got home:eek: . He should've put his waterproof over-trousers on, silly man.:rotfl:

Made HM rolls, quiche and apple pie - the apple was a huge one and only just fitted in the pastry!:p Tried using the food processor to do the pastry, I've always done it by hand before, but my poor paws are getting worse, so will use the processor from now on.:o

Sunday afternoon we spent painting some of the little pewter figures we use for Dungeons & Dragons. There are some that are mounted, and I seem to always get to do the horses for some reason. The one I was working on yesterday wears bardings, so I had to look on the Internet to find pics from medieval re-enactment societies to see exactly how it should look.

Mr LW has just rung me to say that the plumber will be calling at 08:30 on Tuesday 14th to sort out the shower. It has to be a day when Mr LW is on early shift, as I need him here when the plumber comes - I can't deal with workmen myself, it totally freaks me out having anyone in the house.

Anyway, I'm off for a banana break now.:D

((((Hugs)))) to all those who want/need one.

    Have a good day, all.

Oooooh Tiredmum sounds like you will be living up to your name this weekend then ;):D

Rosyred get your hankies out for Tess (unless you remember the story, of course), and then you will know what is coming :o

Well, isn't it always the way. Went all the way to Bluewater to get a coat I saw in my local Marks and they didnt have any!!! I only didnt buy it when I saw it locally was because I wanted to try it on with the top I am going to wear at the christening, and I wanted to check that it didn't hang below it as its an a-line short coat. Anyway ended up back at my local one, tried the coat on there and, yup you guessed it, it was too short  A happy ending though, I saw another one in a different colour and style and was a bit longer so there was no under hang (is that a phrase??) of my top so am pleased with that. When my feet stop throbbing I will go and make a shepherds pie for tonight's dinner and get some ironing done too.

    See ya later, alligator

    Back again!

I'm in no danger of going anywhere now! Friend phoned and whilst chatting was rootling around in the veg box, discovered some runner beans that needed using, so have bunged them in moski with toms, onions and garlic - sort of a Greek thing that is delicious eaten just warm with lots of bread. Found some celery that needed using as well, so threw that in a pan with some split peas and made soup, think I overdid the chilli though, but at least it seems to have cleared my cold a bit lol!

Neighbour has asked me to keep her ds for a bit when I do the school collection run, so by the time the older ones appear with their friends it'll be a houseful again for dinner - good job it's pizza, found some corn on the cob in the veg box too, so will do that and some salad, should stretch round everyone - I hope so anyway!

Have cancelled my veg box after having it for years, doesn't seem to be such good value any more, which is a shame, but I need the money in my pocket.

Kathy, hope your toe feels better soon, it's horrible when you hurt your feet cos you can't really stop using them!

Candygirl, a flat might be good for your dd, I'm sure you'll both appreciate the space and it won't take her long to start realising how much you do for her! Any news about the ex? Sorry if I've missed it as I was awol for a bit. Is he taking any interest in the baby?

Elona - sounds like the remoska plan is coming along nicely!

D&DD - we had your apple braid again at the weekend, everytime dd1 makes it I think about you and your thread during the strike. That braid is now an all time fave in this house, and also with lots of friends, so thank you!

Sistercas - 9p - crikey! Wonder if Asda and Sainsbugs have put their's up as well, they must all look on mse!
