OS Daily Monday 6th Oct 08

Hi, this is the OS Daily thread for the 6td October . It is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning. Back to work
I am in court for 2 days, thankfully I have not done anything wrong!
Yesterday's weather was not as bad as expected and the sun came out, so we had a pleasant afternoon, once I got home from work.
Bed time was a disaster when we found that the dog, which never goes up stairs had gone up into our bedroom and wee'd on our bed! Well what can you say? Never seen anything like it and why our bed? It has regular walks and a huge garden...... Now we have to get duvet's washed and I am going to get a new mattress. I needed one anyway, so this might spur me in to doing it. We managed to do OK with plastic, spare sheets etc, but it was not that great.
Well better get the lunches ready and go to work early to prepare for the day.
Cheers folks

Morning N9eav & daisy & all who cross/follow
Off to work soon, packups are made sarnies with leftover roast from yesterday. I have an occupational health appointment on 16th so need to start making notes, as long as they don't say I can't do the job, if they do I'll be out the door before I can blink.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Thought I'd wander in and say hi as I keep falling off the OS wagon, and I'd appreciate sitting further away from the door this time !
Got a windfall of Bramleys from a friend last week and actually made a crumble yesterday afternoon. Got me back in the mood.
Things are going to be extremely tight for the next two months as everything is due from Car tax to TV licence.
So tonight I'm aiming for HM chicken pie from LO roast, and I have to menu plan for thext week, find it so much easier to know what culinary delights I'm cooking than hoping for some freezer inspiration.
Off to examine flylady thread before Monday morning rituals start..have a good day all.DC.

Morning Guys!
Getting ready for the hospital visit this morning. The hospital takes about an hour to get there and Im feeling lousy today, but need to see them.
Just made DD Scrambled Eggs and toast...I feel sick, so am just having some WM toast and coffee.
Have my helper here this morning whilst we are at hospital, so should all be done for me when I get home.
WM has been on already and have cheated and put in TD as I need her to take the ironing away. DW needs emptying too. Going to get her to peel some spuds and we will have fish and mash later.
Anyway, hope evryone is well.

Morning all
Feels cold here today, and yes, the heating is on. Out with Charlie in a minute, so will wrap up well.
Not sure what's for lunch / dinner today, but as the freezer is full, I'm sure I will find something. I have a bag full of apples off the tree in the garden, so will make a crumble
Catch you all later, have a good day

morning all,
N9eav, my dog has done that before  , and I did not notice till bed time, I think they do it when they are extremely stressed, and they see it as weeing on the pack leaders 'nest', my dog does not like being left alone for too long, if we are going out at all we have to make sure the bedroom doors are shut, perhaps something happened to stress him out ? Its not nice, they sometimes do it on their beds too, which is much easier to clean up.
Its dark cold and damp here, I think the heating will have to come on soon, I was trying to hold out for the 1st Nov, but we are all waking up shivering, and I am struggling to get any washing dry, so will have to give in I think.
Did not go out the house at all yesterday it poured with rain all day, got lots done though, gave dd's bedroom a good going over, got rid of lots of clothes she has grown out off for the Charity shop, and listed some of the more expensive things on Ebay, which I have not done before, so will hopefully get some cash back. We also changed both beds, so thats a job off of todays list, just need to wash it now  , and I did the internet shop.
Today I will have a good clean through, and attempt to get some washing done. I am going to do a lamb mince platt for tea, have not done it before I normally do beef mince, but thought I would try it.
Hugs to Marie and Ulick xx
Smoky, candy, pen pin, and all in need xxx
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning :hello:
Not working until this evening 5-7pm, so I've no excuses for not blitzing the house(bet I can find one though)
Salmon for tea, I got it out of the freezer for yesterday, but Mr Twit took me to a Harvester instead, very nice, although a bit of a wait for it to arrive.
We visited FIL in hospital, no change, he's still very poorly. Then we went for tea, when we arrived home, MIL had been on the phone. No reply from her house so we shot back to the hospital, she had decided to go back and visit again, although there was no change in his condition, thankfully.
As we were out and about, we visited my uncle who is going into hospital at 7.30am today for about 3 weeks
I'll certainly be getting full value out of my hospital car park ticket
Oh well enough of my doom and gloom,
PenPin, hope you feel a little better when you get your hosp visit over and done with.
Marie, hope Ulick is settling back in and accepting your help.
Beth, how are your DBs doing, did DB manage to tell his children? Is OH still taking it easy and more importantly, have you slowed down
AnnieStar, CAN YOU HEAR ME YET?
Candy, did dad enjoy the museum?
Love and hugs to all those in need.

Smoky,
Just finished reading yesterdays thread, I think you should fill the gaps in between the skirting board, it will look nicer, and help to keep the room draft free, have just asked OH and he said to use painters mate, which you can get in one of those tube applicator thingies, once done, lick your finger and run across the gunk, to make a smooth finish xx
