Morning all, and happy Christmas!! :)

Hm... idle time I think, before I start pooping things into the oven in sequence, aimed at getting everything to the table within a couple of minutes of each other. It's like planning a campaign...

..I bet that's where Hannibal went wrong - suddenly finding himself having to shift elephants over the Alps :)

PP - your family's gifts to DD sound fab - and the gifts *you* give to her will be as well; as I believe you said yourself ... hugs and cuddles are priceless gifts *beyond* compare!!!

    E-lass - Haaaaaaapppppppyyyyyyyyyy BIRTHDAY!!! :j :j :j

    :xmassign: Merry Christmas OS'ers :xmassign:
OS solution to wrapping paper frenzy ( :D I am a ripper-stripper :D ) ... if you find that the thought of ripping gift wrap goes against the grain ...

... use the comic sheets from the Sunday Newspaper to wrap gifts ... then, once ripped to shreds they can go in the composter or used for "Lasagne" gardening ;) :j :j
I've had a real chuckle this morning watching d10yo battle to open *his* gifts (he bites his nails, filthy habit!) I did warn him he may need them for Christmas morning ;) Ho Hum! :rotfl:

 MrsMW (((((hugs)))))) Hope you didn't injure yourself too severely in your fall and your arthritis doesn't hinder your pleasures of the day :(:(

    MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

Unwrapping frenzy over with, I can remember having to save the paper too as mine just tear away ;)

The house looks like a bomb has hit, paper and various stupid twisty ties everywhere. Kids things really are done OTT arent they in terms of things to hold them into the damn box!

DH is in the bath, kids in front room, me here ;) . Have the packing to do yet for our few nights with SIL/BIL. Called NZ to wish them all merry xmas which was nice. Called my nan in the hospice as she is having chemo and radiation therapy over xmas and has no family with her  Makes me mad as I would make the effort if I was there. She loved the scrapbook I made for her with lots of pics of kids and handprints, drawing etc. 3 more weeks of therapy for herthen 4 weeks break then has operation. Certainly an xmas for her to remember.

DH has come up trumps this year. He has given me a day at a health spa!!!! I cant believe it!!!!! I can have a massage and everything!!!!!

Lots of birdies in my garden, robins, tits(!), and grey warblers all eating up the seed I've laid on for their xmas day treat. Lovely sight.

Off to play with my kids now, enjoy your day all,
    Al.

Kids had us up about 7am so not too bad, got some beautiful white gold earings off DH which I will wear later + smellies, chocs, money and new PJs so did really well. The kids got loads as per usual.

Everythings ready to go for lunch so its a soak in the bath with something fizzy for me whilst listening to the church bells outside.

Have a great day all, take care

  • Happy Christmas to you all, no matter what your colour or creed.
Let's all try to help each other in our own area as well as on this site. A smile is worth a pound of butter my old Mum used to say, and it's true .
Last night I went with my eldest grandson,son-in-law and his Mother to the local carol service in the village where they live. It was a cold frosty ten minute walk, but what a lovely hour we had. Singing carols, and I even took communion which I haven't done for years. His Ma-in-law has just been give the all-clear from Breast Cancer, and we decided it was time we said thankyou to who ever it was looking after her. It was the best hour so far over Christmas, and although I haven't been to church for many years I did enjoy it.The place was packed and we came away feeling really great. Today I am on my way to my youngest daughter, husband and tribe of five offspring.Christmas lunch there, and back to the eldest daughters for tea and a knees up. Tomorrow is her Ma & Pa -in-laws 50th Wedding anniversary and we are going to their house for another 'do'. I shall be worn out by the time Tuesday comes.
I hope everyone has a great time, and those of you who are on your own ,remember you are never on your on with all these friends on this site
    Cheers everyone Have a good'un

    MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM ME TOO!

Its suprisingly quiet in my house today considering the boys have got a psp and a ps2 plus a set of decks so our son can mix music (thank god for headphones eh? ;) ). The veggies are prepped, ive phoned my eldest children and once the dinner is cooked i can start to unwind a bit.

    Have a great day all!
