Crikey, you're all so damn busy!!! Must be this time of year-lol.

I havent managed to sit down for 5 mins today, DSD hogged the PC all day and the rest of the time was spent cooking with 4 kids(!) and talking to the buyers of our house, cleaning, packing for days at SIL's, playing with toys from DSD.................and on and on and on.

Still have to find time to wrap DH's pressies, but the kids are fed, bathed and ready for bed- PHEW. I feel a drink coming on :snow_laug

Tomorrow will be chilled at the house of Kiwi, we dont haveto be at SIL's til 12.30 so have the morning to ourselves for presents and play. DH is more excited than the kids.

Right, off to browse the days posts and catch up on what Ive missed. Then must call home as its xmas there already!!!!!

    Love to all,
    Al.

A late post for me but I haven't been around the last few days so wanted to catch up on what I'd missed. Drove down to in laws on Thursday over 200 miles but only took about 4 1/2 hours so not too bad.

First time I've spent Christmas here and it's going to be totally different from what I'm used to, my parents don't moan and get things sorted for starters never seen so much fuss over food and buying gifts - and these people are supposedly Christians  Anyway spent yesterday in the supermarket buying an embarrassingly large amount of food for the number of people  and today at the shops - a first for me I think as we normally go to a Christingle at a local church or last year we went to the Zoo on Christmas Eve which was lovely.

We came with presents all bought and wrapped but as that doesn't seem to have happened here people are wrapping now so I thought I'd catch up here - off to midnight mass later if I can stay awake that long.

Good thing is in 3 days I've only spent about £6 and used some luncheon vouchers in starbucks today which were going to expire at the end of the month and decided OH needed a treat as we had no shopping to do and there's only so much wandering round you can do - so I'm impressed MS wise :money:

Starting to have a think what we really need to do on our 3 days off together over new year back at home - need to finish sorting stuff from when we move in and I've found a farm shop not that far out of the city to go and try so just need to get through Christmas and I'll be fine - annoys me as this should be such a nice time but with Miss 'Christmas is rubbish' and Mr 'Wish we did things this way (then change them you don't have to do things the way you've always done them) I'll take a deep breath and think happy thoughts :xmastree:

Hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas - hope Father Christmas is good to you all :santa2:

It's almost here and, having slept for more than thirty of the last thirty six hours, I'm wide awake and ready for everything!

So the chicken is defrosting in the fridge, I have a stock of vegetables, the christmas pud is lo-o-o-ong since done...

..so, a mini cook in for few mince pies and jam tarts is about the only thing left on the Christmas to do list. Said mince pies to be made while tasting the first sample of port that I buy myself as a present. Both traditions, I guess :)

    Then, maybe another nap :)

Squeaky... Sounds if you are on your own with that bottle and making mince pies. hope you have someone there to share those goodies with and that you have some company over Christmas.

My daughter lives in Bury st E's and know what nice people live around there.
So have yourself a Merry Christmas in sunny suffolk.

Happy Christmas to all O/stylers and anyone on their own for Christmas. special thoughts for you.

Have a very Happy Christmas everyone it's nearly time for the big day.

May you all have love and laughter on Christmas Day.
