We have just finished our supper, the pork was delicious, as was the rest of our supper.... the little christmas pudding was just enough, we are just sitting watching the end of Dancing with Wolves on TV with a cup of coffee, then it will be scrabble for an hour or so!!!!
Hope yo'all have had a suoer day...........

Hi again
Well, everybody is still stuffed from dinner so I'm just now having a bowl of soup. Pud and cake not even touched, neither are mince pies (or minty pies as DS2 calls them) I had a bit of a kip this afternoon, am now sober and will remain so - although I have promised MIL I would make a cointreau hot choc later, as have some Lidl dark choc in the cupboard (yum)
Thanks for the offer PP, but I think MIL and SIL will 'sort him out'. Accidentally (whoops) told SIL one of Mr TM's major 'bad' comments made to me so she's onside too (however, I am well aware that blood is thicker than water, so shall make a tactical withdrawal as it were and let them deal with it
)
They are watching Eastenders which I don't like, so thought I'd catch up on here. May even hit the sales too. Now, where is my CC? :snow_grin

Merry Christmas everyone :xmassmile
A lovely OS Christmas in our house today and we are having another one tomorrrow. Eldest daughter couldn't make it home today but is arriving tomorrow, so our celebration was low key today with the main festivities planned for tomorrow.
Yougest DD insisted that we don't open the presents today as she wants to wait for her sister, but we opened one each at lunch. She gave me a copy of 'The New English Kitchen' by Rose Prince and I've been reading it on and off all day. Some really good advice and ideas for OS meal management ... she couldn't have given me a better gift :xmassmile
We have had a Monopoly game on the go all day, daughter won of course ... then we moved onto Cluedo. During the afternoon we went for a walk - the weather was beautiful.
This is our first OS Christmas (found the site last spring) and we have really loved it ... home made sweets and treats and the meal completely from scratch.Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Not long back from Xmas dinner at someone else's house. No doubt about it: the best things in life are free.
How does that song go again?
Oh, I wish it could be Christmas every daySmall change can often be found under seat cushions.

Morning All
Couldnt settle last night so only got about 2hrs kip
Washload done and will be put in TD in a minute. DW half loaded. Toilet cleaned. DD did our breakfast this morning-fruit salad and toast/HM jams
Not much happening this morning but are going bowling this afternoon-Im just spectating as I cant lift the bloomin bowls. Theres an offer on for 1 lane up to 6 people for 1hr=£10so there will be 6 playing, then going back to friends for a buffet and games afterwards. Theres 4 lanes in total been booked, so should be quite a few of us. Taking drinks and snacks for the kids as I refuse to pay their extortinate prices-99p for a bag of crisps, I dont think so!
Lunch will be all left overs: chicken/lamb, new pots, stuffing, carrots, sprouts, parsnips and i think a couple of roasties left over. DD will probably just have a chicken sandwich.
Tomorrow will make a chicken pie and should be enough left for a smallish curry for jacket spuds and frozen.
Will catch up later.

Morning!
Slept badly last nite (OH freaked me out yesterday morning saying he saw a ghost in the flat so I was too scared to sleep)!
Leftovers from yesterday for din (of course), we will recreate Xmas din for the kids as they love it. They are happy at the mo, in their new jimjams playing their new game on the Xbox!
Have a good day! :snow_grinMortgage-free wannabe!0 -
Morning pink fairy and everyone else.
I've been up since 5, pains driving me mad so thought I may as well get up and eat so that I could take medication. I've had two scrummy cheese muffins from Sainsbury's, absolutely dripping in butter, gorgeous.
We had a nice day yesterday, our lunch was delicious, I had duck and a gorgeous seafood starter and even more gorgeous panne cotta sweet. Best part was no clearing up, worst part no leftovers. Sons complained that they would have no dinner today, they usually take a plateful home to microwave, "Tough" says I, it's time they started cooking for me.
The pressies were great, we have enough biscuits, smellies and sweets to last all next year.
Today, as we are up early we are going to the local shopping outlet place. It's OK if you get there early before the crowds of bargain hunters. I don't really want anything but will probably get some cheap underwear at M&S outlet store and we will have a treat and buy a nice cup of coffee while we watch the mad crowds.
Food today is get what you want, I have lots of salad things and cooked meat in the fridge. I hope to have a nap this afternoon before seeing friends later.
Have a happy boxing day.0 -
'Morning everyone :santa2:
Well I'm quite excited, eldest DD arrives home today so we can open our presents. Have heard youngest DD pottering around. It's not the presents I'm excited about but the excitement and look on their faces when they are opening theirs ... youngest actually shakes with excitement and she's 18! I did suggest she open her presents yesterday but she said it wouldn't be the same without her sister . ... awww
Got a sore throat to day so it will be a mixture of soothers and honey & lemon drinks to combat that.
Today we are having the turkey and all the trimmings - but having a home made trifle rather than Christmas pud.
Hope everyone has a lovely OS Boxing Day!Enjoying an MSE OS life0
