Horrible night, rain battering against the bedroom window and wind howling like a banshee down the side of the house...... ah well.....
Pile of ironing waiting for my attention, have not felt like doing it, but needs must.....I cheated and dried this weeks washing in the dryer.......and in the day time as well, really wanted to get it out of the way.
Mince to prepare and put in the slow cooker overnight tonight for spag bol.... need to freeze some to take with us when we go away, in two weeks time we should be travelling down through France en route for our Christmas house sit.........
Nothing else planned for today, still waiting for our councillor's visit, also need to phone the chap about putting the shed up on the allotment...... husband getting twitchy about it getting nicked.......
Rain seems to have stopped, sun is out, but the wind is still blowing a gale, glad we are not on a ferry this morning!!!!

Morning everyone, especially the new posters.
Waiting for the parents to arrive so I can get out and finish the rest of the christmas shopping. Panicking a little as the money has shot down since payday with all the bills going out at once. Never mind, at least what is left is all mine.
Needed a strong coffee when I got back from the school run as I had to go past the post office, all hell breaking loose as they had just had an armed robbery and the postmaster had been tied up. I know him really well and was so sad to see him being taken away in an ambulanceI don't think the robbers had counted for one of the roads being shut due to flooding though and they managed to do it during the rush hour, they are not going to get very far
DH has the day off tomorrow so I am going to enlist his help in putting the door curtains up. I looked for a curtain pole yesterday and they were all about £13 so I saved money by buying the supports and rings separately and buying a 79p wooden broom handle to use as the poleAs it's all going into a very limited space it's not going to be moving anywhere
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning all :hello:
Feeling a bit dodgy this morning - stomach is not what it should be. Was fine when I woke up. Not a hangover (only 2 beers last night) and don't think it's something I ate either. Have told boss that if I don't feel better by lunchtime I am going home, but hope I don't have to as I have a date with BF tonight and haven't seen him for over a week.
Got another busy weekend lined up. I never seem to stop these days!
1. Go out Saturday morning - buy veg from Lidl (£2.50 left in this week's food budget will go far thanks to Lidl half price offer), pick up dry cleaning, hope the Co-Op has some big bottles of TreSemme shampoo and conditioner in stock cos it's my favourite brand on BOGOF and the offer ends Sunday (have caught them with no stock the last two times I went in - hope Saturday morning is a good bet).
2. Make big sausage casserole with aforementioned veg from Lidl and some reduced sausages which are currently in the freezer. Will probably do on hob rather than in SC as I do prefer my sausage casseroles to have a nice thick sauce. Will do rice to go with it - have recently discovered the wonders of Lidl parboiled rice  which is sooooo much nicer than Tesco Value!
3. Do a recce on ASDA website for Christmas food & booze order (have never had a home delivery from a supermarket before, but don't drive so have always had to do annual booze stock-up in several trips - will be a lifesaver!)
4. Write my monthly article for the opera website I contribute to, which results in me getting...
5. ...free tickets to first nights at the English National Opera, where I shall be going on Saturday night with old friend from uni who I haven't seen for ages.
6. Church choir on Sunday morning, concert rehearsal on Sunday afternoon, and a few beers in student bar on Sunday evening  subject to my stomach feeling better.
Really ought to do my Christmas cards as well, and my ironing. Need to organise a few more Christmas prezzies too - I know what people are getting (except my dad) but so far have only actually bought about half of what I need.
Must be very very organised next week - am only supposed to be at home on two evenings and in that time I have to fit in all the next week's cooking (cos I'm out over the weekend) and some singing practice for all the concerts I have coming up! Am already hopelessly over budget (both already spent and predicted for rest of month) so want to avoid takeaways as much as possible.
Have asked for a day off work on Monday 12th (recovering from two parties in three days!) which will hopefully mean I can organise an Argos home delivery I've needed for ages, and perhaps fit a haircut or dental checkup in as well.
Catch you again later :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Morning everyone and hello to our new posters :j  :j
So far, packed DS1 off to school. put DW on and have taken DS2 to speech therapy. I wasn't going to switch pc on until I'd done lots of jobs, but you know how it is with addictions(new posters - beware
)
I have a load of washing waiting to come out of TD, another one waiting to go in and several loads to be washed. Mince has defrosted so will make cottage pie for tea (had meatballs last night instead) Will soak some pulses in a bit so I can make a soup o/n in SC too. Have lots of lovely veg at the moment.
I need to put my curtains back up in the dining room, as well as pictures and refill display cabinets. It looks so bare at the moment - I couldn't be a minimalist, despite what I think when it takes me hours to clean everything. I just go next door for my minimalism, if I'm feeling frazzled. :rotfl:
Need to write my Xmas cards this weekend. I'd done them all by this time last year. In fact, postie delivered my first one yesterday - but thay are moving so new addresses needed sending anyway. Got all my pressie shopping apart from mum - but know what I'm getting her and will pick it up next week.
Ok, :coffee: (green tea) finished, so best get on. Have a good day, keep well, warm and happy.
Luv, TM0 -

Dishes have been in dishyw. and DH has decide to "rearrange the living room"!!!!
This involves moving everything including large tv, dvd, etc and putting everything on a differrent aerial point.
I only hope I am wrong in seeing disaster ahead!

Hello all - especially new poster
Just having a quick go on the internet to have a break from working
Not having an OS day at all today, no breakfast, going out to buy a sandwich with OH in a minute, drove to work as it's OHs birthday today so we were running late - hence the no breakfast. Tonight it's sainsburys curry etc as a treat for OH - his parents are up tomorrow and will be taking us out for lunch so decided against taking him out - and he loves Sainsburys ready meal curries.
Bathroom needs cleaning
More washing to do and clothes which are now dry on the airer need to be put away.
Washing up to do
and general tidy up tonight and tomorrow morning - will probably end up being in the morning after curry, cake and wine.

Have one for me, Squeaky
Lucky you - going away for the evening - food, booze, chat, etc, laid on.
This is why I WILL be rearranging the OS meet in the spring. Can't wait to have an evening away. And, of course, going to a friend's is totally OS. What's more OS than meeting friends at their home. Are you going to be clubbing it until 4am? Spending all your Xmas budget on a posh hotel room? Nah - well, I wouldn't have thought so0
