Hello to everyone who's new on here!!:hello: :hello: :hello:Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0

Not very oldstyle today... had a meeting at 11:30am with my store manager... only got to sleep at 6am for worrying!! Neednt have though as they have given me the fantastic news that i can go back part-time! Meaning i wont be losing my job on xmas eve like id been told. :j Ok so it means taking a £100 A WEEK pay cut on what i WAS earning. But it means i work 3 nights instead of 5 and so might not burn myself out so easily and will get a bit more of a life....
i cant wait to be honest as i was so worried about losing my house.. got to still find £100 a month from somewhere until i feel up to doing overtime.. but its easier to get £100 through ebay/pin money etc than to find the £700 id need to find if i was unemployed! MIGHT be getting a housemate in the new year jan/feb too.. so will leave me with money SPARE if that happens! Would be worth putting up with my annoying friend living with me just to be able to pay off my debt and treat myself to new clothes and a night out without feeling soooooo guilty!
Anyway ive babbled on... (cant help it im so excited!) but other than my meeting i done a little shopping... went to visit above mentioned friend as he was working near my house today.. and then come home and blitzed the house as had 2 other friends both ask to come round.... unfortunetly both then cancelled AFTER id cleaned up! Least doesnt need doing tomorrow now
I am off to my mums this evening - little brother made egg fried rice in cookery lessons today so he wants me to taste it so gotta go for tea. Think will help mum get the xmas deccys out the loft too as shes usually has them up this time of year and also shes said i can go through them and take some of her spare stuff0 -
You'll all be pleased to know I did remember the weetabix, but I'm sure there was something else that isn't usually bought weekly, like nutmeg (must check it, cos that's what I might be running low on) However, thanks MrsB and if you see me forget to write on my whiteboard as soon as I run out of things, you'll be there to remind me won't you?
I dunno, MATH, we might still be onto a winner on the OS hairdressers. I'm a dab hand with the clippers/scissors combo and I can do a good job with those Couleur Experte thingumibobs.
Just remembered - have you all seen that new RAC advert, where the 'nice man' tells you not to necessarily change your wiper blades, just wipe them over with vinegar. Maybe we can arrange an OS discount on RAC membership now :rotfl:
Elona - you can come round here - I've been having a few of those days lately. A fake Baileys coffee is becoming de rigeur here ATM.0 -
Am reporting back because am so very pleased with myself...simple things please simple minds and all that! I found a fab skirt and tshirt for Chrimbo outfit for £7.50!!! in the local charity shop.
No more!

hi all,
feeling very low today and having the decorators in to do the glossing didnt help much either  although the upside is that my house is starting to look gorgeous!
not much OS going on here today, but now the little two are in bed for the evening and wont be long before the older two go aswell i can sit down and re-tweak decembers budget....i am trying to save as much money as i can towards a new carpet for the front room as the whole of downstairs is uncarpeted (and very cold with this weather). my ING account is helping with all those little pots for savings!!! its nice to log in and see the savings account going up!
tomorrow i plan on making an apple crumble, a tray of flapjacks and maybe a quiche as i dont plan on going anywhere....becoming a bit of a hermit at the moment, apart from today i hadnt used the car for 4 days and have just been walking to the shop at the end of the road if i needed anything to save petrol!!!!! im staying away from the shops (hate shopping in december, all those mad crowds lol)
have a good evening all OS'ers, JD xxNovember NSD's - 70 -
Evening all!
Got tied up at work till late tonight and then the bus took ages to arrive. Ive had a lazy day at work, I didnt really pull my finger out as I was exhausted but ill make up for it tomorrow. Boyf is currently at a band practice so ive got some peace and quiet for a bit, ill do some cleaning and laundry shortly then make a late dinner of fish and chips. I think ill do a little more DIY too and some organising - some stuff has got to be shoved up in the loft, and a few pics need to be hung so ill do them - as well as write a shopping list as im sending the boy shopping for me tomorrow - I cant be bothered!
I suppose I could change the bedsheets too if i get chance, but Ive a feeling that will wait till the weekend. My fabric turned up from an ebay seller today and its lush - I think ill start measuring it up for my cushions instead of the boring jobs.
Anyhoo - off for a quick browse of the freebies board (anyone else noticed that companies get very stingy this time of year and there isnt much useful around??) then im on my mission.
Have a good one all!

ARGH!!!
DS (2) has painted my bedroom carpet with a brand new bottle of No 7 nail polish. Little F***ER  I may well kill the little blighter. I've done my best to get it out, luckily the carpet is a mottled green so its no as bad as it could have been. Also lucky is that I used a £5 voucher to get the polish so it only cost me £1. I've got another viewing tomorrow and now the house stinks of polish and remover    He also emptied a whole tube of artificial sweetner tabs (1000+) over my clean kitchen floor (DD2 thinks they taste yummy!), also saw fit to take off his nappy and pee all over my clean laundry. Why do I bother?
That makes a total of 7 viewings this week and no offers. Fingers all x'd for tomorrow please. I dont know how much more of this I can take. Its been since feb that we have been on the market. DH leaving at 5.45am and getting in at 7.30pm. All our family/friends feel sorry for him travelling whereas I selfishly feel sorry for myself having nothing but children from dawn till dusk (and then 3/4 times a night too). Feb is my review date for the Prozac and at this rate we'll be increasing the dosage
Might tell DH to splurge on the budget this month and get me a cheap bottle of plonk on his way home. I feel the need to drown some sorrowsWW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0 -

kiwi - go for that bottle of plonk if you need to.
Our kids must have fallen from the same tree. My DS2, when he was 2, decided to help mummy when she was decorating DS1's room, and stay out of the way. It wasn't until about 2 hours later I found he'd squished a whole dark pink lipstick into my new cream bedding. But, being the love he is, he'd decided to try and clean it up - with nail polish remover  Now, try gettin ghtat out of an extra thick, and new mattress. Just where I laid my head too - the stench was awful for at least a week(oops, maybe you didn't want to hear that
)
I agree with you - your dh has got the easy job. My *dh* told me the other night I didn't need a holiday, because my life was one long one  This was at 10pm whilst I was still up a ladder, painting and he'd spent the evening on the pc!! Favours have currently been withdrawn, but he hasn't noticed cos he's hardly spoken to me in 3 days - all MY fault, obviously0
