All bedding needs stripping this morning, 2-3 washloads to do today, but weather looks ok, so should be able to dry outside. Have cleaner coming, so nothing much for me to to today :D

DD off school again with flu like symptons-I hope this bug thing hasnt come back again as she only had it 3 weeks ago

Breakie is cereal/toast. Lunch will be a jacket spud and chilli. Not sure about dinner yet.

    Will catch up later.

    Hello everybody,

Been up since 4.45am. Woke up hearing a lot of heavy panting. :D It was our wee doggie who is frightened of thunder and was telling Mummy that a storm was brewing. It has been raining most of the day.:jHope it fines up tomorrow as my clothes line is full. Cleaned out fridge & freezer this morning. Made some lemon butter & HM Laundry Powder. I also boiled & mashed up a huge pumpkin that I got for free. Popped in freezer to use later. Having Pumpkin Quiche tonight for tea. I also have on the stove now some apples to stew. Will put them in the freezer once cooled down.

Hope you all have a nice day. DD is off to see the new Harry Potter movie. I'm going to snuggle up on the couch to watch Midsummer Murders. Bye.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all!
Wet & windy here, so washing will have to go in airing cupboard - if there's any room, as yesterdays is still in there.
D/w emptied & reloading started, lunches packed (ds & I are out at home-ed group today).
I need to sort out some craft stuff, as we are making Christmas decorations at the group today, & our contribution will be serviette technique tree baubles.
Not yet decided what to have for dinner, so it will probably be something not too OS. Hmm, let me see... yes, I have some Lidl pies & pasties, and some chips. Nice and healthy!!!!
    Have a nice day!

    Morning all

Wet and wild here this morning - so windy last night, force 8 in the channel and sounds like the roof wants to blow off!

Just booked an early summer break at a holiday park near us - £60 for 4 nights for all of us....can't be bad, DD's will love it (they did last year) and we can relax knowing everything's on site! Trying to book some concert tickets too but they don't go on sale until 9am...a watched clock never moves!

Will have a whip round with the hoover in a bit (cat's decided to fight last night and one of them is a long haired white fluff ball), will find something for tea tonight too. No washing to do until DD's come home from school, ironing will wait until lunch time. Working later but little one will come just in time for a nap, amazing what you can get done in an hour!

Weekend will be relaxed and laid back hopefully.

Hope you all have a great day.

    Hello everyone!

Like Frugalpie I don't think I have posted on this thread before, but I read it avidly every day - I think it helps me to stay in touch with the rest of the world, cos I work from home!

Afraid I haven't done much yet this morning, as i didn't wake up until 8.15! I did have a very busy day yesterday though. Now I must get my act together and sort out all the jobs that need doing. Should be able to get away with not spending much today, though I do have to pay for December's weekly organic veg deliveries - it's all part of the budget though!

Hope you all have a good day! :)

    Hello everyone

I am another new person who reads this thread but I've never posted in it.

So far this morning I've mangaged to get up make the beds and do last nights dishes. I have a load of washing and ironing to do today and I'm on a mission to find new duvets and pillows for the beds. The last time I bought the cheapest that Argos had to offer and they stayed fluffy and comfortable for as long as you would expect. :( I'm now searching for ones that will last a bit longer but wont cost me too much.

I'm having cereal for breakfast and toasted sandwiches for lunch. I'm not sure what to do for dinner but I'll have a look in the freezer to see what I can find.

Tee kids are at home today!!! Argh!

DD1 (14yo) has a teacher training day, DD2 (11 yo) has an eye infection so Dad is carting her are the rest of the brood off to the docs shortly. DD3 (3yo) is only at nursery part-time PMs - but it is Elf day today! Where she has to dress up as an Elf. I cheated and bought her outfit off Ebay!! And babe too young.

As Hubby stays at home - Lucky him!

Dinner is Chops and something - so off to see what I have in the cupboard to shove in the SC with it. WM going mad again. About to wash breakie things, so I'm off.

Have a nice day to everyone and welcome new persons (you'll like it here!)
  • Hi All, and hello to Tiddles and Frugalpie, :hello: Hello also to Lydia

This has been the first week in months that I have not been able to read this thread on a daily basis. Work yesterday was horrendous, Ive got a months worth of work to do in 11 working days. Began yesterday as it was the first of the month and was ready to burst in to tears when I left. Not looking forward to work now as its nice at Christmas to soak up the laid back Christmassy atmosphere but I wont be able to this year, I barely lifted my eyes away from my desk yesterday let alone talk to anyone. :(
Still, I have 3 weeks off over Christmas to collapse in a heap. Also got bad news, my boss that I dont like is back on Monday too, she has been off for a few weeks and things have been great. Still I will make her day by asking for some assistance when Im back next week.
I have the day off today (hurrah :j ) as DD1 has a ballet exam this afternoon. Got loads to do before collecting her from school, beds to make etc, also need to go to the bank.
Im going to put up the Christmas tree this weekend, I usually do it the first weekend in December as it looks so nice when its up I like to get maximum enjoyment out of it, although Im usually really glad to take it down after Christmas!
Have now finished all my Christmas shopping :T , (OH has a few things to get) so I dont need to go near a shop until after Christmas (apart from food shopping) I now need to wrap and finish off writing my cards. Also have a pile of clothing that I need to alter, so will be spending a few evenings with the sewing box in front of the TV.
Right better dash, have a good day everyone. :grouphug:
