Didnt sleep too badly but awoke with the period from hell  Supposed to be going out tomorrow so am gonna take it very easy today and make sure Im ok to go :D

DW emptied, load of washing on and as its tipping down here, it will be dried in the TD again! House clean and sparkly :D Cleaned the toilet.

OH got quite alot done in the office yesterday. Need him to write down everything in freezer as I have so much food out there-I could sell them some..LOL. He has hurt his wrist from nail gun yesterday as its quite heavy but do have a couple of jobs lined up for him ;)

Have the fitter coming back out at 8am as we are not happy with the standard of fitting and to me looks quite bodged! Its a £40s/m carpet and looks like my DD fitted it. With it being on the stairs its folding over and creasing already and has only been fitted just over a week  also the pattern isnt in line. Really not happy with it. I know its an insurance job, but they should fit to the standard previously and this definitly isnt!

Breakie is bacon/egg/beans & toast. Lunch will probably be a jacket spud for us all. Dinner will be shepards pie me thinks, but will probably change.

    Everyone have a great day.

    Morning Jo :hello:

((hugs)) Do meet up with your friend, sounds like it will be the boost you need to lift your spirits a bit.

Had to buy a new clothes-horse this week - in the end, Sainsbury's had a double pack for £12 so I grabbed those: one stand alone and one "over the bath"; fitted a hanging rail in the airing cupboard which, together with the shower curtain rail = heaps of indoor drying space! :)

To cheer myself yesterday, I put my back into moving the furniture around in the lounge - it was heavy work! Phew, I'm glad that it's done though :) As they say, "a change is as good as a rest" LOL.

This weekend I shall be playing, Hunt The Christmas Tree and Decorations (the plan is for the tree to go up on Monday - family tradition from when I was born). This involves a trek into the deepest darkest depths of the loft - scarey! LOL If I'm not back in 6mths, you'll know that I'm still up there: lost! ;):D

As it's pouring with rain, our HM salt project is now off the To-Do List; replaced with HM Butter Making instead.

Busy week ahead with a variety of appointments and various school activities to attend. I'll be quite happy when the schools break up (16th Dec) so I can spend more time/less stress with the boys!

    Enjoy your weekend OS'ers

  • Morning everyone!

Dug out the Xmas tree and decorations last night and put the tree up. The kids spent ages decorating it and the floor was covered in tinsel *groan*. They had fun anyway and then watched the dvd 'Elf' so they felt in the festive mood!

Have been up since 5am as DS1 woke up with tummy ache and woke everyone else up at the same time  .

Hope you all have a good Saturday x

  • morning all,

Going to meet my Aunt to exchange prezzies in a minute. She's going to America for Christmas and it will be wierd not to see her nearer the time. I get really twitchy when any of my family are out of the the country - I like to have everyone where I can see them. :p Goodness only knows what I'll be like when any of the DD's are old enough to leave home!

When I get back I've got to go and supervise the Brownie Christmas Disco so I don't think I'll have much time for much OS today. I have got the BM on and I've just filtered the Sloe Gin, I should have waited til this evening then I could have sampled some :rotfl:

    Have a lovely day everyone

I am recovering from the 'office' Christmas meal out on the town. I think the food was too rich, or maybe it was the abnormal amount of alcohol, or

  • Morning all,

It's pouring with rain here as well.

    Plans for today...

Load DW and WM, and then use TD to dry washing. General tidy up rond house and then this afternoon i'm going to help in my local scout 'bargain' shop for a few hours and then maybe spending some time with a friend and both of our DD's...

DH is at work, then at football and then he's staying in london so he can start work early tomorrow morning. This evening looks like it could be an evening of Tv and Pc for me.

Foodwise, either Porridge or Ready-Break fro Brekkie, probably spaghetti on toat or similar for lunch and then something from freezer for tea.

Hope you all have a good day!!!!! :D

just cleaning planned for today, plus post xmas cards ans sew on the last of the trinkets on to the stockings I made yesturday.
going to pop some meat in the slow cooker for tonight tea. op at work again I hate him working saturdays as he has football sunday, so never get to spend a whole day together.
Bought the goose yesturday at a bargain price of £18 :j (5 1/2 kilo) from sainsburys with the 20% off frozen and my 15% staff discount it was a steal. down from £27.49.
Also finished the last of my xmas shopping, just have to wait for it to be delivered. and then wrap everything, I'm never this organised for xmas usually rush around on xmas eve :o Yule is a few days before so have got a nice porl leg
for then and will go out to the countryside for the day and review my thoughts for the upcoming year.
I love the fact that my xmas starts before almost everyone elses lots more celebrating can be got in. I didn't celebrate christmas until my littleuns were born, just yule. so apart from when I was a child this is only my 5th xmas, my partner thought it was so weired when we 1st met that I didn't celebrate it. at least it was cheap for him :D
any way best get on with the day.
    hugs to all

Dishes have been washed in dishwasher - soup made overnight in slow cooker and about to go to Lidl to get fruit and veg.

Have warned everyone that I want to use up stuff in freezer so will have some strange meals.

Might make pizza for tea and had hoped to do ironing or wrap pressies but DH and DD around so have scuppered that idea.

    Good morning
Lovely sunny day here, so washing has been washed & is out on line drying in the breeze.
D/w emptied, bathroom cleaned, letters posted, just got the living room to do and some dusting.
DH is working this morning, but DS has the morning off (he usually has his Saturday job, but boss has the day off today) Mind you, he should be doing some piano practice as it is the music school's Christmas Concert tonight.
I have almost finished the scarf I have been making in my foray into a new hobby - knitting. Now I have to decide who to inflict it on... er, I mean, give it to ... for Christmas.
Not sure yet about dinner tonight. Just looked at elona's post. HM Pizza sounds good!
  • Hello!!

Feeling lousy, everytime I stand or move-theres a bloodbath....sorry too much info :o

All washing done and dried :D Weather is actually pleasant here ATM  wish it would make its mind up.

OH went to get DD's new gerbil from a proper pet store earlier and on way home he popped in to Lidls and grabbed a few bits. They have their fruit and veg half price. Bag of runner beans 42p, swede 14p per kilo, bag of white onions 29p, bag of red onions 32p, big bag of carrots 29p, cauliflower 31p, bananas 44p per kilo, red apples 59p per kilo  we already have a cabbage in fridge, so should last us till about wednesday. Also, they do these gorgeous bio yogurts with fruit at 27p each, also bought some ham and a loaf of bread. Spent a grand total of £4.70 :T

I really hope IM ok for tomorrow  DD is upstairs with new Gerbil and cage she bought from ebay this week  OH is fitting some more plugs for me and I think I will put a film on soon and maybe have a snooze. Its so unfair being a woman!!!! Have a wheat bag on tummy to ease the pain. Oh well...never mind!!
